I think the fact that your strikers are out of form is a bigger worry for the national team coach. Both Ronaldo and Adriano seems to be out of it and Robinho has not been the player he was in Santos.

You don't value your domestic players much, do you?
Four years, ago, more than 50% of our WC squad was composed of domestic-based players; but in the past few years, even 20-year-old rising stars have been signed by richer foreign clubs. And this is the sad consequence, the most foreign-based of all Brasilian WC squads.

Will the Emperor start? He seems to be in rotten form the last 6 months. :lala:
I hope not – because I think Robinho contributes more tactically, and Adriano is sorta redundant with R9. But only Parreira knows for sure.

Btw why do you have Cris? :googly:
Because every NT manager has a minimum quota for retarded/preposterous call-ups. Cris is included in Parreira's Quota.

The list is good. I just don't like Ricardinho, I would better take any young player as a gamble than taking an aging mediocre midfielder that risks being a sort of Zinho in Germany. I hope Juninho gets a place in the team after the first match (because he certainly won't be a starter in the first match).

Cris has built a reputation in Europe, even though you may atribute that to the fact that he's in Lyon. For us brazilians the most vivid memory is that own goal he scored in our qualifiers match against Argentina in Buenos Aires in 2001.

Very sad that both Alexes are out, Cris and Ricardinho have no place in the squad. Also hoping that Emerson does not start, he is not what we need in a team with offensive FB. We need speed and better passing in the DM position.

as for DM, current form don´t you think Mineiro is out best DM? Hardly makes fouls, always on time and can score. In an irregular São Paulo he is always regular.

I agree with U but
in the aerial game is where Adriano is not redundant though.

I can agree but
any particular player in mind?

Ricardinho is though allround to balance the team
while Alex Sousa would have been only offense alternative.

I would have liked a speedy DM alternative too
perhaps like Mineiro, but how good is his passing....

Rogerio Ceni, Cicinho, LuisĂŁo, Cris and Gilberto; Gilberto Silva, Edmilson, Juninho Pernambucano and Ricardinho; Fred and Robinho/Adriano.

Not a bad team at all, considering that it's our reserve team. ;)

I still wish the two Alexes were there, but meh.
