Great chance to really turn the screw on the Scousers here with them playing the day after us and they'd be 8 pts behind us albeit with a game in hand but that is still pretty immense pressure to deal with knowing one little mistake could be fatal. It would be pretty ironic if it were City who gave us a helping hand in our title quest.

Wazza returned against Fulham with a goal and I think he'll start here, I wouldn't be that shocked if Ronaldo was rested for Tuesday but I still hope we start him, get the job done and then think about resting players for Tuesday.

Blackburn are one of the many teams fighting it out at the foot of the table and will no doubt scrap for absolutely everything on Saturday, they've improved a lot since Allardyce has taken over but in all honesty i'd be disappointed if we didn't stroll to victory here.

3-0 United, Rooney (2) and Nani scoring.

I've got a funny feeling that City will beat Liverpool. Let's hope I'm right.

For this one however, I'm going for a 4-0 home victory. Rooney, Ronaldo and Berba x2 with the goals.
City haven't won away from home since August, don't think they'll end that run at Anfield.

But a draw is a possibility, and that would be pretty hilarious. It would
more or less hand us the title.

Need to just focus on the Blackburn game for now, but all our upcoming games just seem quite winnable. Finally getting a nice run of games after that hellish 1st half of a season.

We cant be worrying about what Liverpool or City might do, first and foremost is getting the job doen aginast Blackburn and then focusing the attention to Tuesday and to Inter Milan.
I don't think that us doing our job when we play before our title rivals is a major worry anymore, when you've won 2 league titles on the bounce, with all of those players still here bar a few - you have the experience. I don't think the lads will want to put themselves in a great position only to leave things till the last day in the end.

This is why winning at Upton Park was so massive, can't stress enough how important those 3 points were. We're beating teams that our other rivals struggled against. We showed on Wednesday that we're full of confidence again and I see us boosting up the goaldifference in our next two league games before Liverpool come to town and we hopefully are in the mood to end the whole thing if another team hasn't done that for us already.

One thing is for sure, we won't be underestimating anyone, nearly our whole squad is fit and that means a lot of places in the team are not guaranteed so everyone will be playing out of their skin to be part of something special again at our club. :hopeful:

He has become more and more bitter and obsessed about our club ever since his last comments blew up in his fat face.

We can only continue responding to his nonsense on the pitch and doing that today will send us 8 points clear and launch quite massive(pun intended) pressure on them when they face City tomorrow without Alonso and Gerrard.

Official starting line up:

Kuszczak

Rafael
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Ronaldo
Carrick
Scholes
Nani

Rooney
Berbatov

Subs: Foster, Vidic, Fabio, Fletcher, Giggs, Welbeck and Tevez

Van Der Sar rested for Inter obviously but I don't see why that is needed, he has barely had anything to do but stand and be a spectator for most of our games so I was hoping he'd start again today and get that record.

I just feel nervous each time the opposition get set pieces when Kuzsczak plays. God knows why Foster isn't in, SAF needs to decide who is our number 2, it's pretty obvious who the really shaky one is.

Vidic is banned for Tuesday and Evans needs another game under his belt so that one is very understandable. Glad to see Evra starting 3 games in a row now since his injury. People really underestimate what a different dimension he brings to our attack.

Front 6 looks good though, hopefully they deliver, about time our strikers started scoring regularly and it would be nice if some of the midfielders continued chipping in.

Neville's still struggling with a virus obviously, and Brown not being fit to make the bench yet either means the defence that starts tonight will start at Inter.

O'Shea is also very doubtful, to be fair i'd much rather Rafael on the right instead of O'Shea anyway.

Rafael will be thrown in due to injuries but he's more than capable of dealing with it, lets just concentrate on todays match though and hope he doesn't get injured. :D

Teams about to come out, come on United!

How the **** did BOTH Rooney and Carrick miss that cross? :googly:

Evra went quite close just right after that as well.

Really turned the heat up in the last few minutes, think we'll break the deadlock soon.

Haha, just noticed the ref is Howard Webb...

Was thinking, who the **** is this knob who has it in for us, giving every 50/50 to Blackburn. Well wouldn't you know, it's that Liverpool fan Howard Webb. :yuck:

edit:

1-1 Santa Cruz.

Nani and Paul Scholes fell asleep there to let Blackburn in. No blame on Kuz. Oh well. 22 hours run without conceding, at least we've got that monkey off our back now. Let's go for more goals now.

No real worries, we'll get at least one goal before half time to go back in front.

@ Drito, It was Nani and Scholes switching off which caught our defence and keeper off guard. Kuzack is dodgy as **** but he could only do something by instinct there, he shouldnt have been put in that position anyway.

Holy shit, Blackburn nearly take the lead. Hit the post and had one cleared off the line.

If thats not a wake up call, then I don't know what could be.

The fans are certainly responding now.

Vidic is about to come on now....

Kudos to Kuszczak for stopping Blackburns 2nd effort there, a fantastic save.

He's gotten a lot of criticism, and rightly so but he's saved our arses big time today, we run up the other end and make it 2-1 only a minute later. Fantastic.

Feel more secure with Vidic in the backline but I hope we get another goal or two to make it safe. Berbatov and Rooney have been anonymous in the 2nd half.

What a dive by Pedersen there, thought it looked a penalty initally but Rafael barely brushed his shoulder.

We're really in a game now and we've really got to finish this off.
