We all remember the glory days of XTPL, as well as the difficulty in running and maintaining it. It was a lot of fun.
Now the EPL website is doing a "fantasy draft" league, where a player can only play for one side. That was part of the fun of XTPL, "owning" a player and having that exclusivity. I did a draft yesterday in a league with 6 friends and it was a really enjoyable experience. I don't really like the fantasy football version, with budgets etc and everybody sharing players. I lose interest very quickly, but this seems way more interesting.
So I'm happy to administer a league for us here. You need to register on the website and what happens then is when the league is full (it can be between 2 and 16 teams), then we pick a date for the draft. The draft happens live, with the pick order "snaking" so for example of the 6 last night my first pick was 6th, then I went first the following round, then 6th, 1st, etc.
As its live once organised we'll need to select a draft date. If you cannot attend you can construct a watch list and the draw will allocate them to you based on targets and availability.
