and may I also say that Casillas has made his fair share of those. Now crawl back.
Casillas have made just as many these last few years, just that the keeper in Barcelona always get the lions share of the stick. I recall one he did against Bayern just a few days ago misjudging a cross and Bayern hitting the outside of the post as a result.

Diego Lopez is practically equal with Iker Casillas too.

Don't underrate Diego, he's absolutely fantastic.
Good joke.

And of course Casillas has his mistakes too, but he uses to save the asses of the Real Madrid average defence.

Valdes is not the problem in Barcelona.

I believe in Victor. I'm actually sad for him, not mad at him. He did a lot for us in the last years. I'll always defend him.
Me too. Victor didn't do his job properly in one match, others haven't been doing their job, at all, for months. It was unfortunate that it happened in a high profile game, but that's all it was. Misfortune. It wasn't lack of ability or commitment, and on ability, I lose track of how many crosses Casillas flaps at and how lucky he is with his incessant rebounds and parries. At least our goalkeeper tries to hold on to the ball.

I am willing to concede Iker needs to improve his game when it comes to dealing with crosses, but you're clutching at straws if you think Victor is anywhere near Saint Iker. :D

Honestly though, I don't think Valdes is all that bad. He is the least of your problems, IMO.

Victor easily has more mental strength than Iker.He can easily mature late and become better. Moreover,Barca's style of play affects him a lot.He has nothing to envy of Iker, particularly not temperment.

At his age, people like Jens Lehmann were all not doing much.Nor was Oliver Kahn.He easily has the ability to keep up the morale. He doesn';t give up and shows up the passion, solid and right on the field.

He can easily become a boss of his defence. And he is better tha Reina and can instead be in the NT over him.

Valdes isnt as good as Casillas and will likely never be.

But damn, hes better than Reina and the current Canizares. Luis has Reina because he has an uncanny nack of saving penalties. Something useful in knockout tournaments.

It's not Dida we're talking about here.
I´m glad you realised that, not once anyone said anything about Dida. We are here to talk about that crappy keeper from Barcelona called Victor Hueco Valdes who was labeled as a a Legend in this thread.

Casillas is a top 3 goalkeeper in the world, even "practically" that is an gross overestimation. I think that sums up your side of the arguement when talking of goalkeepers.
And Diego Lopez can be as good as that.

If you don't agree with me, fine, but I'm convinced he has incredible potential and when a lucky La Liga team gets him this summer, everybody will be proven wrong next season.

Then spare your breath since you obviously doesn't see Valdés on a regular basis. He has done three errors since being the firstchoise keeper. A very good one indeed and continues to develop. The error last night doesn't take away the fact that he has been on of our best players this season. May I add how great he played in last years Champions League? Not something you can say about brazilian keepers.

Meh, save it. Liternit brands himself "justice troll". One would think you'd actually have to know a bit about what you're saying to get that title. The only meaningful think I take from his profile is the word blind actually, something I would attribute to him quite readily considering what he posts. Blind Troll is a more suitable nickname.

Never mind that it was a Brazilian who kept a 621-minute CL scoreless streak not too long ago, six minutes behind the all-time mark.

Go eat your Wheaties.

He looked very good at Eawood Park and Camp Nou. Impressive. It can't have anything to do with the defence of Milan? Even Sebastiano Rossi got a record thanks to that.

I don´t watch him and you do? Saying he has done 3 errors since being first choise? And seriously if you have to say we don´t have brasilian keepers better than that I´m sure you have never seen Marcos keeping for the NT

and Dida when he was on top was a much better goal keeper

but do go on about Hueco Valdes being a legend
