There is an interview with Zico by German soccer paper "kicker" about his future as a coach.

kicker: Nicht in Brasilien?

------------

He is saying that he won't coach a National team after the World Cup but he wants to coach a league team in Italy, Spain or Germany criticizing Brazilian club soccer that they don't appreciate the work of a coach. He doesn't want to bother being sacked after three losses :howler: :hangover: :lala:

Zico is a reasonable man.

I'm a fan of him since he said Adriano was the best in the world and that the Spanish league is the 5th better.

Not that I'm a fan of everyone who says this, but saying this in Brazil is like going against all public opinion. Zico is smart and he has personality.

He doesn't say he'll never coach a Brazilian club. What he says is that he wouldn't want to coach a Brazilian club side at the moment("momentan nicht"). Surely, when the call comes from Flamengo he will ride in on his white charger. Also, he says that he would most prefer to coach in Italy, Spain, Germany (perhaps because the interview is with a German magazine). If he wasn't offered a good position in any of those countries, who knows where he would go?

That means he doesn't want to coach a Brazilian club until things change ... but we all know some Brazilian "traditions" never change :undecide: ;)

And I thinks it's an important message by Zico many clubs should think about.
