Why do so many Players love their hair so much?

Im starting to wonder and be convinced that players these days are far more concerned about their appearance and mainly their hairstyles when they play football than the game itself.Okay it's nice to look after you appearance but headbands and all this long hair begins to SH!T me at times especially when they keep playing with their nits like a girl. It's time these Prima donna's took a good look at the legends of yesterday and began to bring this ailing game back to life and leave the hair issues alone.;)

well, the likes of Totti, Inzaghi, Nesta, Zambrotta all bug me when it comes to their hair. the NT in the world cup looked like they were doing a modelling shoot.

if i had it my way, i would make every player shave their heads....none of these hand bans etc...no more gel etc....

i like players like Vieri who just have normal hair...cannavaro does the same. Del Piero shaves his head at the start of the season...

Totti bugs me the most though, he really worries too much about appearance.

Wait: Vieri is letting his hair grow and the hair-band has already appeared. :D

Cannavaro finally cut his hair, Cassano too (isn't he playing better? Just my impression perhaps... surely he is no so ugly as he was with that blonde wig! :howler: )

Delpiero shaves just because he is losing some hair in the temples.

Indeed, they can keep long hair but I would like them to avoid combing themselves more than 100 times each match... :howler:

yea i can't stand this prima-dona bullshiit either, esp. with this hair, Totti is a freakin woman when it comes to it....

one guy i cant stand is Tudor, even though i love his play, he always has a new freakin look, either long hair, or he shaves it, back and forth.....now he's sportin a short cut and a mustache?!? c'mon...he should look to his fellow country man, Dario Simic and just go with the mop head haircut, it looks good on them i think :D

Another observation: football players start to show special worry for their haircut when they become famous. That's natural and doesn't only reflect the of football but also various other areas of life. If you are famous, you obviously get a huge notice from the media. They get a load of your every mistake. Sadly, to some footballers, having elegant appearance becomes the matter of life and death. And that, my dear friends, isn't so positive anymore. However, seeing Shevchenko, Pessotto or Ferrara is always positive :) They look like normal people, not like stars ;)

so whats the deal here? just because someone plays football, they're not allowed to style their hair anyway they want??? get over it!!!!

You guys remind me of the Argentinian coach in France 98 who wouldnt let anyone play unless they cut their hair!

You keep complaining that footballers are ego-maniacs who only care about their looks, well wouldnt you care about your looks if people like you sat around talking about it all day too???

think about it.

The simple fact is that most of them spend as much time playing with their hair than worrying about what they're meant to do,Touching and playing with your hair every 2 minutes starts to SH!T some people why not tie it back. These days they seem more concerned about their appearance than what they're paid to do oh to try and do.

Can you imagine Ferrara growing his hair and using a headband.
i just got an image of Valderamma:D ...or Pat McInroe(spelling)..you know the big mouth tennis player...american dude.

i just hate seeing italy play in the WC. they look more like they are worried about their image than playing.

zanetti, zambrotta, totti..teh list goes on........shave your freaking hair and play the game. if they put as much concentration into playing as they do with their hair, that WC would be ours right now!:D

Thanks CUG thanks very much the team of Italia 90 and 82 for example must be choking looking at this so called team trying to play what a disgrace,You have to dish it out these are well played sportsman who tend to shoot their mouths off yet when the crunch comes they crumble.

Well, Italians living here in America are very fond of their hair (when they have), judging from the many "Tony Manero" pompadours you still see them sporting, so I am sure it is much the same back in the motherland. Kind of a Sampson thing...;) :D
