I have always called for more youth being given a chance, so seeing ALbertazzi get a chance would be great. My point is that there has to be something going on for Oddo to be called up and Albertazzi not. What that is, I don't know. Leo is not an idiot (as his overall good hanlding of things as shown) so there has to be a reason. Perhaps it is bad council or rather conservative and youth fearing council from his assistants? Who knows?
Yes there is something going on. We got morons in charge, that is what is going on.

my money is on Lippi or god forbid Donadoni :pp whoever it is i dont think the impact is huge, if you have Oddo in defence you have Oddo in defence...I would like to see a daring appointment, Laurent Blanc plz...
All best wishes and respect to Leonardo for what he achieved for us and kept us in CL competition, this job with no resources was too big for him...

I cannot take this anymore. This is not the Milan I started to follow.

i dont want to dissapoint you man but that Milan is not coming back my friend...the day when we took to the pitch with Van Basten, Gullit, Papin, Maldini, Baresi, Rijkaard, Donadoni, Costacurta and Albertini - so pretty much a world class player in EVERY position, when now we have in my eyes ONE world class player in the whole squad (Pato) that top clubs in europe would be interested to sign, such a transformation is not something you can come back from....so for now our aspirations should follow that of Roma, try win a league if possible or if not stay close, and in europe go in CL as far as u can but dont dream of winning it....our neighbours Inter who were a laughing stock for much of the last 20 years on the other hand now have a world class coach, a world class squad bought with $$$, and aim every season to challenge for the treble....and lets be honest, how many Milan players would walk into the Inter first 11? thank you very much...

i just hope the gulf between us and them doesnt become like manchester city v manchester united of a few years back...

Lippi? No thanks
Capello? Yes please
Allegri? Not totally sold on him, but we could do worse
MVB? No
Gullit? No
Rijkaard? Better than the other two Dutch
Tassotti? Makes sense in a lot of ways, as long as he isn't just a yes man it could work well

Why? coz he won something whilst having Ronaldhino at his devestating prime, Etoo, Xavi and friends? and he didnt manage to keep the squad in harmony nor win the league the year after....i think he got a dutch club relegated as well but dont know the circumstances...

lets put it this way, no decent World class club coach - Hiddink, Mourinho, Capello, Van Gaal etc. - would take the Milan Job...so its either an italian coach from a smaller club, or a milan ex-player, and neither will be better than Leo...

why do you think it will be good in 3 or 4 years? who do you think will replace Pirlo-Ambro-Gattuso? who will take from Ronaldhino? who will replace Nesta? it could easily go the other way and we decline for a few more years...

it could easily go the other way and we decline for a few more years...

That is the case in any situation, but you consistently (as 100% consistency) ALWAYS find the negative in every situation. Too bad our team is not that consistent. We'd never lose

and proven correct again and again sadly...but interested to hear from you what are the major positives you see in the current situation Milan is in?

You totally miss the point. When Milan was having great success you only posted to comment on a loss and with heavily negative remarks. Now that Milan are having trouble and the future is uncertain and potentially dark, you are posting constantly. A coincidence? I think not. Nothing personal, but it is hard to figure you as a Milan fan.

Obviously the current situation is depressing and the future dark (at least now) but it is also uncertain; which means anything could happen. But of course you only predict with totally certainty that nothing good will happen and milan is doomed etc. It is also quite possible that finances change or Milan sell an asset or two (not sure which, but obviously Milan Lab and hte Milanello come to mind) and free up cash. REal Madrid did it ten or twelve years ago when they were saddled with far more debt than we have.

Its all a who knows right now, but to you it is a guaranteed certainty that nothing will ever happen that is good for the team.

haha yes i must have been a fake part-time fan only since 1987, and posting here since 99 as a secret juventus double agent lol and i also must have dreamt all these posts when we beat Real this year, really weird...so to summarize: if you show up in success you are gloryhunter, if u dont show up in success u are negative, if you dont show up at all you are not a true fan but a chelsea full time fan, if you criticize seedorf or pirlo or god forbid Gattuso you are a traitor, then the same guy criticizing you for cticizing seedorf shits all over him a few posts later or the next game, same argument for Berlu, if you say he doesnt care someone would jump with "he gave us all this success in the 1990s", then the week after the same person calls him a cvnt, complain and moan after a random 4-0 trashing but sign your post with "Forza Milan :proud: " and you are in the safe side :pp safe from the self-appointed censoring police!

i think you need to relax and let people in this thread put across their opinions without being, in a retarded fashion i must admit thats unique to the Milan forum, stereotyped into real v gloryhunter (as i explained you CANNOT be a gloryhunter with a club that won nothing for 3 years now), without being analysed by a certified shrink into POSITIVE and NEGATIVE person as this is not a mental hopsital, and without having to sign each post with a reaffirmation of loyalty, this is not Nazi Germany...I have to say since 1999 when i first came here before pretty much everyone, like other forums where some call Pellegrini a shit and some a hero, or Ancelotti a champion or a bottler, or Wenger realistic or crazy, i never understood whats behind this dark hidden force of "censoring" posts that are critical or of opposite opinions to the Milan hierarchy, I think if Berlusconi was the manager of this forum he wouldnt have done such a great job....

If I were the only person who felt this way then you might have a point. ;)

am telling you its a secret police :pp and am 100% pirlo is funding it judging by the amount of defence he gets!!

I do not care that much if we were terrible on the field. The thing I just cannot stand is how Berlu and Galliani just constantly lie.

Saying that, I really believe Galliani is trying his best even if some of his decisions are crap.

But I cannot say the same about Berlu.. He lied to us about Kaka, he wanted to get rid of Pirlo.. and the worst of all, he attacks his coaches in public...

"Leonardo is stubborn"

Yeah right.. more like "Leonardo has a set philosophy set, but I cannot afford to finance it"
Not Berlusconi but Galliani (prima facie) is responsible for our current state..I dont know how much Berlu is involved with the day to day affairs of the club (financial affairs) but considering the level at which he is and the affairs he is involved in, i am sure its negligible..

A team like Milan who has reached 8 UCL finals, Won 5 of them, 7 League title and a whole host of national and international titles, who have had some of the best players (of all time) playing for them in these last 20 years is not even in the top 5 revenue earners of all the clubs, where it should be either be 1st or 2nd atleast..Here lies the big problem..Deloitte Football Money League places us at 10th for 2008-09 where as we were 3rd in 2004-05..Revenues of all the big clubs in the last 5 or 6 years have gone up my anywhere between 50% to 80% (roughly) and as for us our revenues have gone down over the same period..Clubs that have achieved far less success than us are financially stronger and self sufficient..Look at Arsenal for example..3 League titles (i guess), 1 UCL Final in their history and still they earn much much more than us..WTF was our management doing all this while??There was no effort to increase the revenues or cash in on the popularity when we were at our peak during the early 90s or even from 2003 to 2007, lack of focus on the youth system or complete failure to tap the emerging Asian Market etc etc..

Inspite of all this success and glamor associated with us the club has been turned into nothing but a poor beggar who has to beg Fininvest for huge amounts of money every year (its every year)..I dont blame the Berlusconis for not giving up their money for us to lose (on useless transfers and undeserving salaries) but i do blame them for having a clown to run such a big company..

Be it the Arabs or the Berlusconis the only way forward to ensure the long term survival of a club like ours at the highest level is to bring in professionalism in the way this club is run..

I think Berlu has set certain constraints and limits under which Galliani must function. He's too much of a egomaniac not to have some control there. This situation was fine when money was plentiful and transfers were possible but under the "policies" of the last few season (no budget or we only need one or two players or Milan is fine and will win) Galliani has had nothing to work with. ANd then yes, Galliani is also a bit of an idiot and makes some stupid decisions and said some ridiculous things.

I'm also pretty sure its Galliani

I also protested against these horrible contracts, we're now buried under our own hubris about the magical properties of MilanLab

at least we have Athens and revenge and a CL to show for it.

The key is still Berlusconi. Like so many who defend him say, the past 20+ years he was cool and we loved him (and Galliani).

What changed? His funding.

With limited funds Galliani struggles.

Ribery, Toni.. All should have been ours, you know?

Well. I am pretty sure it was Galliani handing out all those stupid contracts.
and who gave Galliani the green light to do that? You're crazy if you Berlu wasn't pulling strings tr whole time. He'd just nevver admit it when it comes out bad.
