Why would they need him?

 

Villa was already declining before he got injured and there's over dependency on Messi for goals. RVP will be on the last year of his contract and hence will be relatively cheap so I think they'd be interested. They were after Rossi before signing Sanchez last summer so it'd be either Rossi or RVP imo.

I doubt Basel will sell many of their youngsters, as Shaqiri is leaving. Xhaka has interest from EPL clubs and Hamburg, but like I said, Basel I doubt will go overboard in selling. Well I guess both could sign one of the three you've mentioned, but all three? Anyway if it did happen, that would make for some season in the EPL. Even if Man U sign Eriksen/Sneijder + Gotze and Chelsea get Hulk/Jovetic + Cavani.

 

One thing that's clear from this season is premiership teams need to spend a lot because the league is absolute dogshit at the moment. More wishful thinking than anything maybe, but I've only bothered watching one premiership game so far this year so it'd be nice to pique my interest again.

Mario Gotze will stay at Dortmund for one more year, I think. He convinced Marco Reus to join them after assuring that. Sneijder move to United should happen finally.

 

Chelsea would kill for a striker of Cavani's qualities. He'd cost somewhere around 40 million though, and if AvB can offload Torres for around 20, then I wouldn't be surprised if they make the move. Cavani is the closest thing to Batistuta that we've seen, and I always wondered how Bati would go in the Premier League (Fergie was interested heavy a few times), so I hope it does happen.

Its just that he is not a replacement for Cavani as he isn't a centerforward.

 

They have spent around 65 ME last year so it'd be step back to sell one of the big three imo. They should show more ambition like Spurs did by holding on to Modric and keep this team together.

 

It really doesn't look possible for a Giroud move to Arsenal in the summer.
