Ronaldo says he wants to be back in time for the viola game, says not to worry about his injury, appearantly it was just a strain :crybaby:

I know i have said this alot, but the talk of a possible renewal keeps annoying me, after all these little injury antics, could milan seriously willing to give Ronaldo a chance to earn a renewal. The idea of a contract renewal should be completely out of the question, no matter how good he does, fact is, we obviously cannot rely on him, as he seems to have an injury very very frequently, a club like milan, should not rest hopes on someone like him, no matter what he can do on the pitch, cause he's hardly on it!

Serie A Week 21 - 3/2/08 (19.30 UK)
Fiorentina - Milan

Stadio Franchi

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It will be a classic clash between Fiorentina and Milan at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Week 21. Both teams are aiming for a Champions League position and this could be a turning point in their season.

The Viola have proved to be a solid side, but the Rossoneri cannot afford to drop anymore points. Last Sunday the Tuscans were successful against Empoli thanks to a 2-0, while the Lombardi won against Genoa with the same score. Historically, the Diavolo have always struggled against the Gigliati and they were held 2-2 in their last visit to the Franchi.

Fiorentina are currently fourth in the table with 36 points, while Milan are in 7th position. The Viola have enjoyed a good run of four consecutive wins recently. Milan, meanwhile, have lost two in the last five - before the midweek Reggina clash.

Cesare Prandelli should be able to count on all his players apart from Marco Donadel and Manuel Da Costa. The Italian midfielder is suspended while the Portuguese has just been signed from PSV Eindhoven and needs time to settle.

Prandelli should confirm his favourite 4-3-3 formation. French ‘keeper Sebastian Frey has been linked to the Rossoneri recently, but that shouldn’t be a problem for him. Fabio Liverani could play in the midfield next to Zdravko Kuzmanovic and Riccardo Montolivo.

Mario Alberto Santana will once again be preferred to Franco Semioli while Giampaolo Pazzini should be at the centre of the trident instead of former Rossoneri man Christian Vieri. Adrian Mutu will complete the Viola attacking package.

Pippo Inzaghi, Serginho, Marek Jankulovski and Ronaldo are all out injured. Captain Paolo Maldini should be playing on the left. Nelson Dida, who was out injured for several weeks, may also take the gloves instead of Zeljko Kalac. Massimo Oddo could be replaced by Marcos Cafu.

Ancelotti will have to decide whether to play Alberto Gilardino up-front or keep him out. If the Rossoneri play with their classic Christmas tree formation, then there won’t be any space for Gila. Alexandre Pato should be the lone striker with Kaka and Clarence Seedorf playing just behind him.

Keep an eye on: Giampaolo Pazzini (Fiorentina) – The 22-year-old striker was impressive against Empoli last week. He netted one and will be looking to add some more on Sunday night.

Last season: Fiorentina 2-2 Milan

Form guide: Fiorentina (D W W W W) Milan (L W W L W)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fiorentina (probable): Frey; Ujfalusi, Dainelli, Gamberini, Pasqual; Kuzmanovic, Liverani, Montolivo; Santana, Pazzini, Mutu

Milan (probable): Dida; Oddo, Nesta, Kaladze, Maldini; Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini; Kaka, Seedorf; Pato

Oddo--------Nesta-----------Kaladze--------Maldini----
---------------------Ambrosini------------------------
----------Gattuso----------------Pirlo-----------------
--------Seedorf--------------Kaka--------------------
---------------------Gilardino-------------------------

Let's see Pato's ability off the bench. As to who he comes on for, depends on the scoreline during the game and how our midfield is playing.

These 6 Lettered symbols you guys are using simply cannot be more annoying :) C'mon!!!

Anyway, this particular game might literally save our season!! And save next season!!! So I would go full power on that one, if Ronaldo is ready he should start, and then rest till Arsenal's game :D

Gilardino should start in one option, if we have supply from the crosses, not Oddo crossing of course because he proved he just can't cross well anymore, maybe Serginho!! Janku!! or Maldini!!!

I hope it will be time where our one and only Kaka' wakes up!! He's been very tired lately, and out of form, worrying I must say!!

FORZA MILAN!!!

This is by a distance the most important game of this season sofar. If we manage to beat Viola then we'll be very close to that 4th spot, should we manage to lose though then it will be very very difficult for us to qualify for CL next season. In short: 6 points are at stake in this game.

I would start with Gila and Pato upfront because Ronaldo has probably not been training properly lately and I liked what I've seen from Gila and Pato in 2008. Ronaldo can be introduced later in the game if necessarry.

------------ Kalac
Oddo - Nesta - Kakha - Paolo
--- Rino --- Pirlo -- Seedorf
----------- Kaka
------- Pato --- Gila

That is my prefered formation for sunday but knowing Carlo he'll probably play with 1 upfront and Seedorf (who's been rested for this game) and Kaka behind him with Rino, Pirlo and Ambro in the midfield.

Forza Milan. 11 leoni !!!

Fiorentina are an attacking team that will not sit back, especially not at Stadio Franchi. Ka-Pa-Ro will be given their spaces and I think it's best to start with them. Gila scored last game yes, but it would have probably been harder to miss (but he did achieve that 2 minutes later, he missed from an even closer distance to the goal). Other than the goal, he was again ineffective. He really needs to raise his game and im getting sick of him getting all the headlines for every goal he gets - I dont know why we are kissing his ass so much for him to stay..

According to Carlo, Serginho, Janku and Pippo should also be fit so that will be the first time this season where we will have a full squad. I just hope Ronaldo makes it, I think he is the one that makes the difference. Let's just hope he doesn't break a nail over the weekend otherwise we'll have to wait for a few more more weeks!

i know its funny but i wanted to share it with you,Some forums and some newspapers(also reffering Gazzetta.it's survery claims Balotelli is better than Pato or comparing him with Pato.its really stupid,a guy who just played a few games in the last 6 months and lacks match practictise,he is adapting to a new lifestyle,a new team mates, every game he plays with different striking partner, despite this he scored 3 goals,he got 3 points vs Genoa alone,he also missed tons of the chances, but Balotelli or who?scored 2 goals vs juventus which played with Stendardo,Belardi and legro,Paloschi scored 2 goals too, lets compare this balotelli kid with our paloschi,Pato is 5 class above of Balotelli.in the past They were comparing Sheva with their Adriano, but they never get their lesson,as Sheva won everything with Milan and plus 45 m euros income from his sale,Adriano is still getting therapy in Brasil,if really they have to compare Pato with someone,it should be Benzama or Messi,i dont accept the below standards.comparing Pato with him is an insult to Milan too.

lamja,we have to win this game so that closing the gap with you, maybe Prandelli could block Kaka and Pirlo with his markers then he never gives space to our players,it would be disaster for our players who are more decisive when they found more space,Milan's central duo form makes me think especially you have Adrian Mutu, hard game but we have to win at all costs,i hope Pato doesnt miss too many chance vs them.
