Dont know...it gives the manager the chance to try out 2 different starting XI´s and play them against two opponents with a bit different style. Should give the manager enough feedback on the situation. Plus 3 teams, more interest in the game what otherwise could be looked over.

im not completely sure on the line up.. but i think its.. Moya, Miguel, R.Costa, Navarro, Del Horno, T.Costa, Albelda, Joaquin, Paco?, Feghouli, Soldado.

Del Horno and R.Costa messed up for the goal. Awful. But at least we won the penalty shootout.

 

How was the offense?

I see that you are yet to score from open play in the last 3 and half games(OM, Aston Villa and City).

 

Napoli ain't a bad side tbh, so a 1-1 at their place is a decent result. :thumbsup:

In my opinion, the offense in the first game was the best ive seen in pre-season so far. More positive-minded. Joaquin and Soldado were both brilliant.

 

Basically, Del Horno passed it too Costa, crap pass. Costa ignored it. Napoli striker pounced onto it. Goal. Just lazy and awful play. :/

 

We looked a bit better overall.

But still, these are the silly mistakes that we used to never make back when we had Quique.

Not trying to open old wounds but there is a serious lack discipline in this squad. Lazy play, careless mistakes, etc.

Only a top coach can correct that but unfortunately we can't afford one so we have to stay with Emery.
