OMG ! I cant believe this ...

We were soooo close , I was so happy with the 2-2 untill brocchi did his thing .

2 things ;

1) Gilardino . Why ? He was having the worst day of his life. And Carlo subs him in the 85th minute ??

2) Brocchi & defence . We are in the dying minutes while he decides to lose the ball. But why didnt bonera or anyone tackle rooney ?? so what if you get a red card !!!! :frustrat: 2-2 was a great result !!!! now we HAVE to win

I saw the game at a local Milan club and it just exploded after rooney's goal.

C'mon Milan , dont screw this up at home !!

Forza Milan !!
Nesta played Rooney excellently, gave him only one option and it was that if he shot the chances were that it could only go near post... and if the GK was alert to this the chances of goal are still at a minimum unless it was an excellent shot.

However Dida didnt cover the near post and allowed half a goal for Rooney to aim at.

Trust me, Dida was 100% to blame (along with Brocchi :wallbang: )on the third goal. Nesta had the far post completely covered and played Rooney perfectly, the only option was to shoot at the near post where Dida was nowhere to be seen and for some reason he was almost in the middle of the net
Yeah if I looked at a replay I'm sure I would see more of an error on Dida's part, as you and Dean have said. However I dont want to see that goal again so I wont for now. :smileani:

I think we'll really push hard for Buffon. After last summer's rumours and the rumours that have begun to unfold over this summer, it really could happen.

ok .. .basically , if Milan ddnt have Kaka, thyd be screwed.. ROYALY !
We aint that bad. Offsurce Kaka is carrying tis team but the rest are doing there bit apart from dida and Gila (altough he was so lonley upp front, what to expect from him).

We had this game in our hands. During the first 10-15 min af the sec half we were playing with them. Than we somehow inveted them into the game again. Stupit, stupit stupit.

Mid field and defence were allright till that point, not just Kaka IMO

If only we'd have a fit defence, of course it was brilliance by Kaka but it was extremely clumsy on Gabby and Evra's part. Thought Seedorf was top notch for Milan today. Rooney's goal has given us a chance to go through but I still think Milan are in pole position. We deserved to win tonight.

See you in the San Siro next week gents.

we got 7 days to ponder,

overall it was a performance i was expecting, glad the first leg was away and scored 2,wasn't to concerned with the third,me thinks the idea will be to disrupt our play at the SS for the second leg,i don't think they'll be as adventurous nextweek, and when they aren't going all gunghoe they're quite ordinary,a slower tempo we dictate the rythmn even if they get a full compliment back,it makes no difference coz somehow knowing only one result is necessary,i feel it'll make it easier in that sence, but still 90mins to play, all to play for.

FORZA MILAN

Here's the way I see it: Man U didn't have a defense but Milan doesn't have a striker. Plus you scored when Maldini and Gattuso were out, so I suppose the luck argument could go either way. I'm still optimistic about the 2nd leg, though. If Ringhio is back, that is.

I agree with you, the problem wasn't in defence or midfield (although losing Gattuso hurts bad), but your attacking game just lacks something. Could be from Sergihno's runs, Seedorf's inconsistency, and having a non-existent striker

Really, where Milan was bad tonight was at both points, striker and goalie, inbetween Milan was pretty good.

Nesta played excellent. But on that occasion someone should have tackled him for the sake of the result. A draw was ideal.

I hope it wont have consequences in 2 weeks (or is it next week)

If they do everything different than what you said yohy, it will be only natural for United to earned a spot in the CL final

This is the first time in a while in which we have to get a result or eliminated at the S.S
The last time I remember was against la Coruna, and Djalminha eliminated us on a PK, this was still in the group stages

CMQ vada, forza MILAN!

Respect

Let's try and take some positives out of this situation:

- Milan may have been complacent going in with a 2-2 lead, now we have to win which will surely fire up the players. If it was still 2-2 we might gave gone into the second leg with a defensive mindset, which is always dangerous.

- We faced the same situation last round against Bayern Munich. We needed to win and we did so comfortably. This time we are at home and will have the strong support of 80k fans.

- We've always been in this situation many times over the years, where we needed a home win to qualify and we have done so (ie. Ajax '03, Lyon '06, Celtic '07).

- Hopefully Maldini and Gattuso will be right next week, and we won't suffer any disturbances during the game. It was clear that those forced substitutions hurt us defensively, but also didn't allow us to make any attacking changes if needed.

- Inzaghi must play, and we all know that he is the man that thrives in these situations. In front of the Curva Sud, he is bound to get on the score sheet.

- Serginho will hopefully be available and we can use him as a sub (so long as we don't suffer more injuries).

- Evra will miss next week, which means another new defender coming in for Man Utd, which means they will have to re-adjust once more. It wasn't easy for them today with all new defenders, so hopefully next week will be difficult for them again.

- Finally, Kaka` proved once again he is capable of turning this tie around with moments of brilliance. He wasn't able to do much in the second half because Man Utd dominated the play. Now that Milan needs to perform, hopefully we will control more possession and we can utilise him more than we did in the second half today.

Is that the same seedorf I saw ? Cause to me he was sloooooowww

I'm sorry , but Man Utd didnt deserve to win. You played a better second half , but WE threw it away.

If you tackle them you risk a) getting taken on or b) a red card for fouling and for your sakes 2-2 or 3-2 you do not want to lose Nesta for the next leg.

Any news about Maldini and Gattuso?
