I'd be surprised if Puyol starts.

Masch-Abidal in the center with Adriano as leftback would be my prediction.

Puyol maybe a few minutes in the second half.

 

All I want to see is that we play our best players and best formation. I don't want to see another resting/rotation. Not at this stage of season anyway.

We still didn't come out of pre-season firing on all cylinders. Hopefully, Pep plays some consistent line up and tactics for 5-10 matches before tinkering.

Please stop with the suggestion of Abidal at centerback. He is not good there, especially when we face bigger teams.

Masch-Abidal would be a terrible partnership to try and contain Ibrahimovic when it comes to headers.

Having said that, you really should win this by a goal or two. Not because we suck generally, but because our strongest feature from last year (the defense) is looking very shaky so far this year. It doesnt help that Gattuso is out. He would have devoured and then shit out Messi (called "getting a Gattuso tan" ).

We seem unprepared for the beginning of the season and I am more confident about the return leg later in the year.
