"Totes les victòries ens poten a Roma"... All the victories take us to Rome. After conquering London and Paris, Barça will try to make history in the heart of the Roman Empire. What a nice place to triumph.

In the 6th European Cup final, FC Barcelona have the chance to win the 3rd of our history. After winning Liga and Copa, the Double, the team will aim the triple to become the most legendary Barcelona ever. Even though the season was a total success, independently of the result of this final, if there ever was a team that deserved this crown, it is Pep's Barça.

The rival, Manchester United. Some people say that this is the perfect final. Since long long ago, this competition didn't see such an attractive final. The two best teams in Europe face each other, the current champion against the team that amazed the World with their football. Legandary clubs, extraordinary players, terrific atmosphere and Rome, the center of the World. Isn't it the best place and moment to make history?

Barça, you already made us proud of you. We never enjoyed a season so much. Now, just get what you deserve. Millions of blaugranes are pushing behind you and we just want one thing: Be yourselves.

ARA MÉS QUE MAI, SEMPRE BARÇA!
VISCA EL BARÇA I VISCA CATALUNYA!
SOM-HI CAMPIONS!

I don't see the necessary to play Yaya as CB in this one.

Chelsea = big target player in Drogba
Athletic = big target player in Llorente

In those matches I fully understand Yaya playing as CB. United don't play with a big strong target player. Ok, maybe Berbatov but he can't be considered as a big strong target player. So why play Yaya as CB?

Stadio Olimpico -> Dimensions: 105x68m
Stanford Bridge -> 103 x 67m
Camp Nou -> 105 x 68m

Pitch dimensions are quite important for us, and Olimpico is as big as Camp Nou. This means the attacking team has more space and I'm sure ManU will close down the game, playing on counter attack.
It will be crucial who will score the first goal. If we do it, possibly in the first half, then I see us scoring a few more as Manchester will have to open giving us more space, and given that we can be quite deadly.
If they score first, then I see a copy of the second leg against Chelsea. We'll struggle and search for the goal, they'll have deadly counters... I hope we'll get lucky again, and as this team showed many times this year, be able to turn the game in our favor.

I somehow don't really worry who'll play in the back line. We'll play possession game, and the game will be taken into ManU's half of the pitch. More then anything, I want the back four to combine with the middle three without mistakes and I feel we'll be fine. That's why, I don't want to see Caseres playing, I don't trust him. Toure and Pique did great in those 2 crucial matches, both can build up the play and can be a trusted direction for Xavi and Iniesta when the ball can't go forward.

There won't be many chances, and if Eto'o will be fvcking them up I'll lose my mind. I think Messi will be marked too well to be the decisive player, but I've a strong feeling Henry or Iniesta will be the killer in this game. But if it will be a draw until the end, then I'm sure Pique will nail it in the 93 minute after a corner while making a foul on Vidić...and you can just imagine how his celebration is gonna be :party:

I never felt so calm about a game. This team already did the work this season, it is an astounding success. Now, the season can only get better. If we lose, damn, that sucks but the season was great. If we win, the season just gets greater. It's a wonderful position to be in. I hope Pep can transmit this lose feeling to the players so they can go for it confidently and without nerves.

Whatever the outcome, I am overwhelmed with pride that we have come this far. I especially appreciate what K4 has written.

Indeed, it is not only the result but the entire journey there.
Guys, be yourselves. :thumbsup:

Come on, Come on, Come on!

Make history Barca.... I want this final more than anything in the world. Xavi, Iniesta, Messi... the good guys deserve the Champion's league. They have been champions all season long putting on Manly display after the other! Together they went through the good and the bad.. they watched as the point lead was cut down from 12 to 4 and still kept strong... went to hell itself and scored 6 goals :proud:

There are young players in this team like Busquets who have excelled in their first season. There are even younger players like Bojan who waited and waited for their chance... but like gentlemen coming on doing the job and not causing a media zoo party.

Messi, I have never ever seen such a combination of greatness with humility... not in science, not in sports, not anywhere. He is so talented but he acts like he's ordinary... and he pulls up a shirt which promotes awareness to fragile X syndrome when i was thinking the shirt would say "up yours madrid" or something... :proud:

Xavi, all these years he was distributing beautiful passes unrecognized by the masses. In the climax of his career he has blossomed into a champion.. scoring, assisting, and fighting. Euro 2008 made an even more confident player out of him and it is very visible on the pitch... time for the CL Xavi.. this one belongs to you.

Iniesta you beauty.. please heal quickly... It it's a tear then i dont expect him to play.. i dont believe in miracles but dear God i want one now. I can see him dribbling past the Manutd players, nutmegging them, swaying left and right with such grace that the EPL players do not understand.... He will want to carry on the same wavelength of the Champion's league Semi final and he knows that if he scores again then this will be remembered as Iniesta's CL.

Puyol, lead us with experience, confidence and strength. i wish he could play in CB but someone has to cover the RB and he is the best option... and Etoo: The African with a Catalan heart. He has proved everybody wrong and it's time to deliver a fatal blow to every doubter: including me.

Visca Barca.. bring us the 3rd... you deserve it!

OMG I am so nervous at the prospect of this final next week.

I live just 5 minutes from Old Trafford yet the whole of my household bar myself are Manchester City fans, for some reason this final has a certain significance in getting one over them as they are refered to as some kind of "enemy", and I have that feeling too.

VISCA BARCA!!!!

I'm not worried or nervous at all. No matter what happens, this has been a fantastic season miles above the expectations at the beginning. A season of fixing the self inflicted failures of the last 2 years turned into glorious success. This match might be a moment of incredible legend, or it might be just a season or two too early for this new Barca.

But either way, we've had a great year. Plus, the omens are in our favour. :D

BTW, if we do win, we should all wear "3" avatars. :D

I'm not so nervous, mainly because I've had kind of much stuff to do uptil now and until monday (thank God actaully). The only thing I'd like (besides winning ofcourse) is that the match does not go to penalties, I think it's a criminal thing that should be banned, especially in a final.

If our defence manages with their attack, we might win...

It's always the same... I feel calm and I don't follow the news about the game much. A lot of usual talk that is full of topics. I work on Wednesday and I will actually meet an English guy that day before the game. I will get nervous that afternoon... like always. Then, I'll take a walk, I will listen to Metallica's Black Album and I watch the game...

I'll cheer the team all the way, I would love to see them win it, still if they lose, I'm already SO PROUD :proud: and I don't need nothing more to make me change my mind about this team, Coach, Player and Staff.
it been one of the best season for ages, and the way the team won and played it was out of this world, and none will ever question this team if they didn't win the final.

I'm a Barcelonista and proud to be so, and only cheer for FC Barcelona, still Manchester United is a team I grow up watching and have a big space in my heart for some reason, I was cheering them every time they play, and if they win it, I'd feel happy, still a bit sad it wasn't Barcelona winning it.
but I wish both team the best, and I wish Barcelona win, and I wish to watch one wonderful game that have end-to-end stuff, great atmosphere, and a clean game with nothing bad to be remembered with.

VISCA EL BARCA
:fero: :proud:

I am nervous because we can become all-time best team if we win in Rome. That is something i want to talk about with my son one day. Already have 2-6 in Madrid torrent and i just want to add Rome game to my colection.

Also, some of my friend here in Serbia think that we were lucky against Chelsea, that we do not know how to play against english teams and so on.

I just want to prove them wrong.

More than anything, i am nervous because we do not know how much will Dracula and Titi be ready for the game?

come on barca, i am supporting you alot in this match

I am really worried now. :D

Great stuff man, congrats to you and Yaya17 hope both of you witness history in the making and I am really confident that we will do so. VBI talks about omens and the best of them all is that when one of our fellow cules on this board attends a game we end up with a great result.

R10, Iniesta and Henry have missed yesterday's training as both of them are still working separately away from the group on recuperating from their respective injuries. Like Carles, I am 100% sure that both of them will make it for the final. Henry is going to be fired up for this one, because he wants this trophy more than anyone in Barca's squad.
