Pot 1: Spain, Germany, Netherland, Italy, England, Croatia, Russia, France, Portugal

Pot 2: Greece, Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerlad, Serbia, Turkey, Denmark, Slovakia, Romania

Pot 3: Israel, Bulgaria, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Norhern Ireland, Austria

Pot 4: Slovenia, Latvia, Hungary, Lithunia, Belarus, Belgium, Wales, Mazedonia, Cyprus

Pot 5: Montenegro, Albania, Estonia, Georgia, Moldova, Iceland, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein

Pot 6: Azerbaidjan, Luxembourg, Malta, Faroe Islands, Andorra, San Marino

My ideal group would be:

Croatia/Russia
Sweden/Denmark

Portugal, Serbia, us, Belgium...

But no, seriously:

Russia, Denmark, us, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, San Marino

I'll take anyone ;) since we are now more experience and in the hunt of quality defenders!!

Id prefer this group

Croatia-easiest of pot 1 teams
Switzerland-also wouldnt mind Slovakia even though they did make the WC
BiH
Wales-always seem to struggle in qualifyers, worst team in pot 4 IMO
Liechtenstein-should be no problems with them
San Marino-no comment

Id like to avoid this group

Spain-best team in the world IMO,dont want them ever again
Turkey-i had enough of Turkey for a long while
BiH
Belgium-,even though we beat them they have quality young players and a decent coach now.
Montenegro-strongest of pot 5,Jovetic and Vucinic would give our D some problems
Azerbaijan-nothing we couldnt handle but there are easier teams.

I would try to avoid Croatia and Czech Republic for this tournament as much as possible. They missed out on the World Cup and they will be avenging for this competition. I think Croatia will come back strong, and achieve first place in the group they are in.

Dzemal Berberovic, Haris Medunjanin and goalkeeping coach Enver Lugusic is missing from the current fold of players and staff. Hopefully we`ll see the inclusion of some new faces as well as in Admir Ljevakovic, Ajdin Mahmutovic, Nemanja Bilbija, Ognjen Vranjes, Anes Haurdic, Toni Sunjic a.s.o

Pot 1: Croatia or Russia

Pot 2: Slovakia, Denmark, Czech

Rest is not important since under Ciro, we will beat easier teams. These teams up there we can actually beat, unlike Spain, Portugal, Turkey and shit..

( not that we can't beat those 3!, it's just I find the ones I selected easier to beat )

Our squad for Euro2012 qualifying. We have a really young squad here, get some friendlies going against top teams and just make sure this core group gets more experience then they already have.
We also have to find a another solid defender. Jahic,Spahic,Nadarevic is great but we need another solid fourth defender. Couple possibilites are Ognjen Vranjes, or Sejad Hajrovic(17) who played for switzerland at u-17.

Hasagic (29)
Ibricic(24) Jahic(27) Spahic(29) Nadarevic(29) Salihovic(25)
Bajramovic(30) Medunjanin (24)
Misimovic(27) Pjanic(19)
Dzeko(23) Ibisevic(25)

Hasagic
Jahic-Nadarevic-Spahic-Papac
Pjanic-Bajramovic
Ibricic-Misimovic-Salihovic
Dzeko

I think this would very well be our best 11 if we play 4-2-3-1. 4-2-3-1 is generally the best formation out there these days and our midfield and strikers fit to it perfect. We need to get Papac back ASAP which is almost impossible, but I don't see Hrgovic playing there to be honest. Another problem is center back, I mean even Spahic that we love sooo much is basically an average player. We need to find someone better than him in that position.

Imagine Salihamidzic - Subotic - Spahic - Papac ... damn. But oh well, we can then go on about Srna and this and that. Best thing to do is to find some Brazilian player like our neighbors and put him there. Still, I think we might see some formation change, especially when Rahimic and Muratovic won't feature in our team anymore.

All in all, it's going to be nice to see how this relatively young team develops.

Montedia puts on his ruthless hat...

I think that the number one issue that has to be solved so far as things on the pitch go is the sourcing of at least one other good defender. I would put serious effort into courting Sead Hajrovic. He was born in BiH and he looks to be a brilliant prospect. And I would put pressure on Bicakcic and Hrustic to find some playing time, somewhere, and soon.

Further up the pitch, if Huseijinovic can get a bit more of an opportunity at Werder Bremen or another Bundesliga club, then he is another who should be drafted in. He is an immense talent.

I agree with you in spirit, but the fact with Hrustic, judging from what I've heard from people who are in touch with him, is that we just have to be patient. He ran into some trouble with the coach of Bochum's reserves, but they signed him up for a reason, and if he works hard enough then it's as good a place as any to break into a top league. The people I mentioned all say we shouldn't expect too much from him until next season... that's when he'll hopefully break into the Bochum first team. Physically... I mean he's 6'3, he'd be perfect.

It's too early to say what line-up we should play in one year time. Who knows what might happen in that period? Remember how fast Dzeko, Ibisevic, Salihovic and Pjanic became stars out of nowhere. How Nadarevic, Jahic and Rahimic became very solid players for our team. How Misimovic exploded last season.

I remember most of us not giving ourselves a chance in the group for the WC and the players we had then didn't give us much hope either. But the generation we have now is still young and most of them will only improve but what I'm also sure of is that we'll get 2-3 good players for the NT by then. Our players seem to be popping out of the ground like mushrooms all over Europe. That's why I said the future is ours and that I'm sure we'll make atleast one big tournament out of the following two.

Out of that list, I'd say the ones in bold sound the most promising. Vranjes got rave reviews when he was at Banja Luka.

There are also a number of Bosnians in Germany that are meant to be highly promising, too.

How old is Hrustic? And I can't help but think how good Merzic played in that one Euro 2008 qualifier in Istanbul v. Turkey. We lost that game but Merzic was one of the only players that did very well. What happened to him? He was 22 at the time I believe... I was really counting on him to strengthen our weak defense. Players like him and Muharemovic mysteriously fell in quality.

And what about 18 year old defender Jasmin Sudic who is a starter for Sweden U19? He's like an eternal starter so far this season and has played every minute of every game for Malmo in Swedish top division. He's worth 600,000 Euros according to transfermarkt.de. I mean at least he plays.

Also here's some comments regarding Oggy which I thought were very interesting:

Pizon should get shot.

I've heard a few of our people in Sweden whose opinion I trust say that Sudic is the real deal and will be A-team material in another few years.

Hrustic just turned 21. I feel like 23 is the cut-off point at which you can no longer really be called a prospect, so that gives him another two years to establish himself at Bochum.

I've heard that Anes Haurdic can play as a right full-back... if he keeps developing at his current pace, he could become an A-team regular at that position the moment we switch back to 4-?-?.

#34 ·
I've heard that Anes Haurdic can play any position on the field other than as a goalkeeper lol.

But holy shit look how good this 17 year old Haris Seferovic is:

[tub]V27QqWKTnaI[/tub]

Look at all those goals. All class..... he's quick, agile, powerful, and has alot of endurance for his age... has the body of a 25 year old. He has raw skill at finishing... look at all these goals .

Seriously, this guy has something that Dzeko doesn't. And it's not being clumsy!

There's alot of diaspora talent. We just need our FA to fish these guys out. We got Begovic, Pjanic, and Medunjanin. We can also get Vuckic, Seferovic, Hajrovic, Sudic, etc.
