... you'll struggle to get promoted back to Serie A. You paid big for a dud, terrible player.

I didn't watch the game today. :(

What did Gilardino do?
What he DIDN'T do was holding the ball up, displaying basic technique, finish chances or get lucky like he did against mighty USA.

What he DID do was convincing Hollywood's top bosses to work on X-men 4, he'd fit well as Mr. Invisible.

I should point out that during the USA match, if he missed his goal it would be a shame. Why? Because our US defender decided to play an offside trap all by himself...what a joke :dielaugh:

Actually he held the ball up OK. Finish chances? What chances? He was very isolated. But I suppose thats his fault is it? :rollani:

Look I know you're pissed with Adriano, but that doesn't mean he's a rubbish player. And certainly neither is Gilardino, even if he's not showing it currently.
Fair point. I am just saying that Gilardino is open for criticism. Much as I hate Adriano for his form, at the end, we have to KEEP HIM.

And same with Alberto.

Gila was totally isolated upfront in all the games so far even Toni was isolated but the difference is that gila scored a goal an toni didn't, I don't know why everyone is critisising him so much what do you expect to happen when he is a box striker and he expects that the ball will be played to him but since both totti and camo didn't play well he was totally isolated.

I thought he played well in todays game he fought for the ball and created some chances for himself and did try to pass the ball but totti was wasting the chances that he got because he was always trying to chip the ball to the keeper instead of pass back to gila or whoever was in the box.

I don't know why every one hates gila so much maybe it's become easier to blame him instead seeing who is really at fault here and thats totti and camo who were supposed to be there to provide the link between him and the midfield.

And why hasn't anyone been critisising toni he has done nothing so far and in the US game he was worse then gila but nobody seems to notice that I think everyone is looking at his 31 goals this season but failing to see that he is not in form right know.

And as for pippo well he doesn't really count because he has the habit of being in the right place at the right time and nobody has that not gila and neither toni, Pippo is almost exactly like Gila in a way but he has that killer instinct when it comes to goal, I think he should be a starter for the rest of the world cup because once pippo is on a role there is no stopping him from doing what he does best which is scoring goals

Told you he's a bag of shite. Will bump this up every 3 months to laugh at his ineptitude. I think we'll need to move this thread to the Portsmouth (or some other second rate club) forum soon though. That's where he'll be playing his football sooner rather than later.

Just another example of a big club buying into the hype of just another flavour of the month/year. How much did you pay for this crap? Rubbish player.

So they tell me. I had a friend living there who couldn't wait to get out. He did. Now he's back commuting to DH for work. The way of the world.
Yeah, need to get out of Holland altogether. Not a fan of this huge country full of things to do... the country where everything closes when people just get off from work. Utrecht is a nice city btw, how long have you been living there.

**** this was supposed to be a wind up thread.

I have to say the opening hours disturbed me from the beginning. I mean Holland I imagined not such a provincial country, meanwhile I'm hard pressed to find a supermarket open on a Sunday anywhere in the city (depending on the season, right now they are).

Been here since January, and before I arrived I felt exactly the same as you do about Trondheim. Utrecht is definitely an upgrade.

There'll be other wind ups ;)
