The loan fee being a sunk cost or not doesn't mean that portion of the total cost magically disappears. It forms part of the book value of the player.

That 1.5m is part of his total fee and our net spending on the player.

So you put the loan cost of Pereyra, but you dont put the 10 millions Sassoulo paid for Zaza??, if you are calculating the cost of the player you are right to put all the expenses. So will be 17 for Pereyra but 11.5 for Zaza

Yes buff, Zaza cost 11.5m net. No arguments from me.

But at the same time, the total transfer fee is 18m. Did he generate funds which reduced that to the total amount of cash spent on him being 11.5m? Absolutely.

However, his value as a transfer is 18m, that is the sum we spent on him, because even if he generated money through the co-ownership system, that amount was also reinvested to buy him back completely.

It's just two different ways of looking at the same thing. But i accept 11.5m is a valid way of accounting for the transfer in terms of net spend, but the total value of the transfer is 18m.

Yes, it has to be related to Allegri's training methods as Milan suffered the same fate under him.

For this game this certainly mean that Dybala-Mandzukic will start. On paper these two should complement each other well as they are the classic fantasista/bomber combo. I'm excited about how they will faire.

What GMT time is this game? TV rights for the Italian games is a mess in Sweden these days.

1pm kickoff i believe. Neither BT or Skysports showing it which is annoyin

I'd actually like to see Pereyra as CM and see how he does, i have a feeling it suits him better than AM.

****ing love it! It's a clear sign to Pogba and the rest that he will be the go to guy from now. It's time to leave the world class talent behind and become a world class player. And we all know Paul's abilities.

Also, it doesn't mean our pursuit for an AM needs to be over. I'm pretty sure Draxler for instance wouldn't have gotten the #10.

Yea it's a very silly connection for one to make. If we were supposedly giving out the number 10 to any newbie in the team with potential, it would've been Dybala.

Pogba is our future, he deserves to don our number 10.
