Gorica will play against a Northern Ireland side Linfield in the CL first qualifying round. They play away first on july 12th. If they go through to the second round they will play Steaua Bucharest.

 

Sounds like a good draw for Gorica, especially with the first match away. Hopefully, they'll get two wins out of it and after that, who knows?

Domzale - Orasje

 

Koper got an interesting and difficult draw. Litex is where Novakovič plays, of course he may no longer be there once the teams meet, but still, they seem to be a decent team.

I don't know anything about Orašje though.

Are you serious, man? Forget the 1st round draw, if Gorica passes it (and I believe they will), they will face Steaua, the team that got into UEFA Cup semifinals last year. And this is only the 2nd round, so the loser doesn't get into UEFA Cup either. Sorry, but this is mission impossible for Gorica.

Very difficult draw for Koper as well, Litex also did well in the UEFA Cup last year.

The only team that can be satisfied with the draw is Domzale, IMHO...

If the team stays the same, you're absolutely right. Usually, however, these teams get plucked after such a year. I heard Ogararu already left for Ajax and maybe a few others will follow. That could change things.

Yep,I agree, saddly, but I can't imagine Gorica progressing over Steaua.:moan: A really tough draw there. Although, we'll have to wait and see what the Irish have to offer, second round must wait for now.

Shame, I was hoping for that. And a bit of daydreaming about Gorica making a stunt against Steaua, taking their place as a seeded team in the last qualifier and then meeting Dinamo Zagreb for a place in the group stage.:shades:

We forget 2 mention, that Maribor trashed Sant Julia out with a clearly 5:0 on the 2nd match, so 8:0 in total.

2nd round ll be much harder against Zeta Golubovci (SCG).

 

Well Maribor's win was something that shouldn't be questioned and they did it without any problems. Like you said though, next up it's a much tougher team.

I saw the match live on Tv Crnagora & i was impressed the way Maribor played, they could score at least some 4,5 goals.

What a great goodby of the old Ljudski vrt, the match vs Villareal.

 

So, Maribor won the 2nd leg with 2:0. Quite a good achievement, 4 matches, 4 wins, with a goal difference 12:1

And now they played against last year semifinalinst of CL Villareal. It should be a very interseting game. :thumbsup:
