Waiting for Genoa

There’s again smell of direct fight in Torino. A week after the nit success over Napoli, the chief town of Piedmont is preparing to host another written challenge. Saturday afternoon, at 4.00 pm, Juventus waits for the visit of Genoa, for the competition valid for the 14th day of the second round.

Genoa is in very good conditions, and it arrives at the Olimpico after 5 consecutive wins, which let it overtake Napoli, and reach the second place. After the replays of the 1st day of the second round, it has shortened the gap at five lengths. Now the results list says: Juventus 66, Genoa 61.

There are all the conditions for a great match. Starting from the willingness of some former Bianconeri as Di Vaio, Milanetto and Masiello, of doing well, but mostly from Giampiero Gasperini, the technical born in Torino as player and as trainer.

I hope he doesn't score :)

This match is the "tie breaker", we win, then we will be 8 pts away and practically clinge this one :)

On another note - I kinda hope Gasperini will one day be our coach. His primavera teams played brilliant football (the little I saw) and considering his material, he's very likeable and Genoa plays very nice as well. Favors the 3-4-3 formation.

He is one of the new Italian coaches to really watch.

games about to begin...this is our formation according to juventus.com:

JUVENTUS: Buffon; Birindelli, Zebina, Legrottaglie, Chiellini; Camoranesi, Marchisio, Giannichedda, Nedved; Del Piero, Trezeguet

zebina and legrotaille in the middle should be wonderful, cannot wait to see the results...

and btw, must win, really must win this week...

Unfortunately no. Cannot find any streams anywhere. Suppose I'm forced to hit the town :).

Marco Di Vaio of all people scored in the 45th minute mark.

2-1 HT, great goals scored, and i respected Di Vaio for not celebrating, not like that hooker Inzaghi.

Trezeguet is a moron btw, if anybody saw the clip, when he was one x one vs the gk, 1st he tries to chip in, he fails, it lands to the feet of Alex, and Del Piero is lone with the goal, and Trezeguet interrupts his shot and Trez shoots it wide

hopefully we bag the 3 pts and not choke here.

yes, my dreams have come true, boumsong, legro and zebina all playing together...

Moments like these is the only thing that can make me glad that I have been criminally deprived of my Juve this season.

To make myself feel even better...I'll finish the defence of Zebina, Legro, Boum by mentally inserting Paramatti there :D

Trezegols goal doesnt work ;)

Nice assist of Ale to Pavel. And Di Vaio did celebrate, just not that much, he did.
