Lots of injuries, formation not clear at this stage.

Gazzetta predicts: 4-4-2

Doni

Cassetti Burdisso Juan Riise

Taddei Pizarro Derossi Perrotta

Totti Okaka

Winning this game would be a big step forward and will kinda give a confirmation we are on the right direction, and also not to stat the obvious but it will mean we are very close from reaching the 4th spot in the 8th week after the disastrous start. I am excited but considering the injuries, especially missing Vucinic and the fact that Cassetti is playing (already having nightmares thinking about him Vs. Pato) I think i'll be content with a draw even with Milan's current status.

Roma: WDDWW

Considering how well we have done vs Milan lately I almost expect the law of averages to catch up on us and Milan will actually come away with 3 points somehow. I believe we can win this match but we will have to be attentive and work very hard to force Milan into mistakes. Not sure of the lineup but we should be good either way.

Spalletti did have Milan's number, he turned around what used to be an automatic loss every time we want to San Siro. Curious to see what the break did for the club's fitness levels. I'm worried about injuries and complacency.
Ranieri had a great record in the big games for Juve too.

Clearly the international break did nothing to help our injury crisis
Brighi, Juan, Doni, Baptista and Cicinho are all ready to start.

Totti, Vucinic, Julio and Motta were all injured against Napoli.

How long is Motta out for? Cassetti will cost us at least one goal, so we start the match already at 0-1
Cicinho played 90 minutes in the friendly tonight. Here's a hope he will start against Milan.

Missing both Totti and Juan is a big blow. The fact that Vucinic is not 100% fit is not reassuring either. We need big game from Derossi and Pizarro if we are to get a positive result here. And since that chances of the defense keeping a clean sheet are minimal I fear the worst.

Forza Okaka!

the thing is how much weight do put on this match and is it worth rushing Vucinic back and running the risk of re-injury? is a front line of Menez and Okaka a very bad idea?

1 BOGDAN LOBONT
2 CICERO JOAO DE CESARE (CICINHO)
3 MARCO ANDREOLLI
5 PHILIPPE MEXES
7 DAVID MARCELO CORTES PIZARRO
9 MIRKO VUCINIC
11 RODRIGO FERRANTE TADDEI
14 RICARDO FATY
15 VITORINO GABRIEL PACHECO ANTUNES
16 DANIELE DE ROSSI
17 JOHN ARNE RIISE
19 JULIO CESAR BAPTISTA
20 SIMONE PERROTTA
21 STEFANO GUBERTI
23 LEANDRO GRECO
25 ARTUR GUILHERME GUSMAO MORAES
26 ADRIAN FLORIN PIT
29 NICOLAS BURDISSO
32 DONIEBER ALEXANDER MARANGON (DONI)
33 MATTEO BRIGHI
77 MARCO CASSETTI
89 OKAKA CHUKA STEFANO
94 JEREMY MENEZ

Also the crisis in GK. Who will play? I would give Lobont the chance in this match, but it can be a risk and Doni hasnt played for a while.

I think it will be:

Lobont; Cassetti, Mexes, Burdisso, Riise; De Rossi; Taddei, Pizarro, Perrotta; Vucinic, Okaka

Bench: Doni, Cicinho, Andreolli, Brighi, Faty, Baptista, Menez or Guberti

I think it could be a 1-1 draw maybe, but this will be very tough. Well seeing Lobont concede the goal v Napoli, Im not sure Doni is worse :D and even if Doni is average, he can have his good games, but it will be his first for a while so we need to be careful.

Indeed. Mr. Blue Shoes looks powerful, dangerous. DeRossi just sent a thunderbolt at the goal. Milan look awful.
On the other hand, I think we're seeing a real classic 4-4-2 here without Totti, very organized with great counterattacks. I'm really digging this compact 4-4-2 and it was nice tinkering by Mr. Tinkerman. But the match, of course, is long and hard, and Milan seem to be slightly improving.

Vucinic and Menez both should've haved scored a goal each. Also Doni saved a sure goal from Seedorf. So fair reault would've been 3-1.

We scored early and played the classical way having a goal advantage away, very compact game, counter attack and not risking the possession. I think we've been comfortable doing that except the odd times we allowed space on the flanks.

Vucinic obviously playing not fit and that hurt our counter. I think Okaka's energy can cause lots of trouble in the 2nd half.

..oh and why that clear shoulder pull on Menez wasn't a PK and a red card?
