The 2010 World Cup qualifiers start today for Brazil in Bogotá against Colombia.

Here's Brazil's starting line-up:

Júlio César
Maicon - Lúcio - Juan - Gilberto
Mineiro - Gilberto Silva
Robinho - Kaká - Ronaldinho Gaúcho
Vágner Love

The kick-off of the game was delayed 45' due to a waterlogged pitch...and locker rooms :pp

"How not to play football"

the locutor of radio Gaucha had a suggestion: to produce a DVD with the second half of the game with the title" How not to play football"

Getting a point in Columbia is not that bad, forget the performance. Now all Brazil needs to do is start collecting wins at home and qualification should arrive accordingly. And yes, bring back Ronaldo. :)

There is nothing to do about altitude and rain

but there is something to do about attitude

How come that Vagner Love scores almost every match' at least one goal, when he has Carvalho, dudu cearense and Jo , with some russians behind him (and some assists too) but does absolutly nothing with the "best in the world" KK and RG? Kaka ca not play in the hights, we have seen it in the game against Ecuador before the last mundial, RG is not 100% fit and I do not know about his attitude

In such game players who are physically stronger and have a better cardio-vascular conditioning have to play

Dunga knows who they are. In order not to be linched by the galera here I will not mentioned any names.

About attitude, try Leandro Amaral, he can give assist to a 5 year boy and he will score, Thiego Neves is another one who may deserve a chance, and i am sure there are more players from the brasileiraop who would give 200% if the get to play in the NT

It make sense when the team play in South America, leave some of the kings of the 1,000 mili9on euros out for a change

They showed their "jogadinhas" against weeker team but they forgot the "raça¨and to be fighters in difficult conditions

Ronaldo and Pato may be an ibteresting duo up front´but games are usually won in the midfield

How will th olimpic team look? If the younger players are not called? maybe like our sub-20 in Canada,(I wish I can say like they looked in Paraguay, but you know it is impossible at the moment)

I agree with Filipe reis

What an apathy, especially form the ones who was supposed to be the best in the world

i am saying it again, bench them, give chance to some players who will fight on the pitch and give everything they have like the 2 i mentioned or somebody else, to add some creativity in the midfield i would like to see 2 volantes one of wich i a volante de contencion and the other 50-50

Nothing more to say, the Cracques mediaticos will shine in the Maracana, and will disappear again in the difficult pitches-- I hope I am wrong , for Brasil sake

The performance from Brazil yesterday was pathetic. They can't blame the pitch when Columbia were able to play some sort of attacking football on it. Ronaldinho, Robinho and Kaka did nothing all game. I really do think that Dunga should drop Mineiro and play with someone deep who can pass the ball with Gilberto because the play in the middle is non-exsistant.

How come Dunga didn't play Elano? I know you have Kaka, Robinho and Ronaldinho etc, but he played him when he was just a sub at Shakhtar, yet now hes in the form of his life at City, and can't get a game ahead of Baptista and Miniero

I think the Argentina result in the finals of the Copa America made everyone " forget", atleast for a little bit, the struggles we have had with Dunga in command. Before the CA, we struggled in both friendly matchups (Turkey and England). Even before then, we have some games that we struggled in (Ghana, thank god for JC again).

When the CA kicked off, we had an EMBARASSING result vs Mexico. I was in Brazil during this time and everyone wanted Dunga's head on a platter. Next up was Chile (no offense to our Chilean readers), but Dunga's rear end was saved by Robinho, who had an easy time with the Chilean defense. In the final game of the group stage, we beat Ecuador by a Robinho PK.

In the knockout stages, we drew Chile again. Robinho and co. once again was able to expose their defense. Apparently their team was a mess with the whole scandel situation and their incompetent coach. Don't forget that we played Chile in a friendly matchup earlier in the year and we did well in that game as well. In the semis, we drew Uruguay, who usually gives us a tough game. And that is what they exactly did. The game went down to PK's, where we could have easily lost if it weren't from some horrible luck and a questionable non-call against Uruguay. In the finals, we got our rival Argentina. Dunga isn't the type of coach that can motivate our players and get the best out of them, but this game was able to do just that. Our players stepped up without Kaká and Ronaldinho (non-existent players in Dunga's reign) and played good football. It may not have been the beautiful football we are accustomed to watching, but it was effective to beat a top team in the world.

In conclusion, my biggest problem with Dunga is that he lacks leadership. He doesn't know how to motivate the players one bit. I never see him standing near the sidelines yelling out commands to his players or try pushing his players. He just sits on the bench or stands up near the bench and watches the game. He shows his inexperience with his substitutions and game management. Most of his call-ups have been very questionable and he refuses to test out new tatics that could better suit the players he has. Dunga claims that he wants to give opportunities to everyone (his persistence with calling players in Russia, SPFC, etc) but he doesn't do that. He doesn't call up players who are in good form with their club teams. I believe the reason for this may be his ego.

As much as I love Jesus myself (believe me I know Ricardo does too), I really don't see what's all the fuss over Kaka?
Everytime I've seen him play he puts me to sleep! I've seen him play at least 30-40 games and he was decent in uhmmmmmm probably 7 at best.

The next Garrincha sucks big dONKey balls. He probably won't remain a starer in madrid for long...

and then you have Mr. Fifa :D. He's pretty good in the fifa games but in the real world, he's become Messi's shadow and still a no show with the selecao.

Adriano uhmmmmmmmm do you mean Adriana? The Victoria Secret Model? Adriano? who's that?! My point exactly

and last but not least: IL FENOMENO - RONALDO, brazil's all-time greatest player behind O Rei Pele, word to your mother!

He's a conspiracy victim! Duncega prefers to start W@nker Luv over the all-time WC top scorer, what a bloody shame!

Might as well make the Seleção:
Diego Cavalieri; Paulo Sérgio, David, Gustavo, Valmir; Pierre, Martinez, Caio, Valdivia (He is suspended with Chile...we can bribe FIFA and our govt and get him naturalized Brazilian!!); Luiz Henrique and Rodrigão

Dump Dunga for Caio Júnior and we are all set..lol
