Ronaldo announce retirement from football

The imminent return of the 5th Football king is upon us folks. The best # 9 ever :proud:, the greatest striker of all-time (Pele was a SS and so was Di Stefano) :proud:, player of his generation (eat your heart out Zidane) :proud:, without a doubt the best player the world has seen after the retirement of Maradona, and overall the 3rd greatest player ever - behind Pele and Maradona :proud:. There are not enough adjectives to describe the Phenomenon that is R9. Two World Cups, 3 FIFA Player of the Year Awards, and 5 knee surgeries later…this man is still standing strong and is back for more :proud:!

So what now? Operantion Hexa Commences :eek::howler:!!! The world cup is around the corner and the evil European powers want to make history by winning a WC outside Europe ! This is their shot at making history! Brazil is an average side; it lacks a true leader a symbol if you will. Fabiano, Adriano, a young Pato, and Robinho…will not be ENOUGH. R9 is still explosive “inside the box” as we all know he is as clinical and deadly as Romario and Muller! In addition this man possesses vision and superb dribbling skills…he can play the trequartista (second striker) role if he wants to, yes he is still that good . Brazil will not win the WORLD CUP without him! It’s that simple folks :(.

So that leaves us with Argentina. Dagoods is worried about them…Messi is not the leader everyone had hoped he would be or become rather . Barcelona is struggling in la liga & UCL and their leader is nowhere to be found. Bloody HENRY (one of the biggest chokers of all-time) is showing more leadership than Messi, it doesn’t get any lower than that folks .

Dagoods knows you peons are probably thinking…WHAT? Ronaldo??? WTF? Is he still playing…rescue football from what? BLAH BLAH BLAH

Oh yes R9 may return today and most likely will face Palmeiras on Sunday! Dagoods must give credit to R9; he’s got a lot of GUTS. He left Europe to come and play in the toughest league in the world . Brazil have won the Cup 5 times, they produce more footy talents than any other country in the world, etc. This is what makes their league the best in the whole wide world :D:thumbsup::eek:. And so it begins….AGAIN. Can he pull it off again? will he carry/lead Brazil to yet another WC? Will Florentino sign him again :D? Can he RESCUE us from all this: ludicrous, quizzical, filthy, queer-ish C. Ronaldo / CHEAP European supremacy propaganda!...? :yuck::yuck::yuck: We can only be hopeful :proud:!

Dagoods will keep RONALDO in his prayers :proud:…Hopefully he will not suffer another career threatening injury :(.

Your thoughts, your thoughts

WELCOME BACK O FENOMENO…

No...

I wish I could turn back time but the truth is Ronaldo is not committed to the game, I guess if he really wanted I would at least hope for a descent club run but not enough to justify a return to the NT.

But the way he is now I doubt he will even succeed playing the state championship.

Too bad because football clear lacks a clucht player these days, what we have left? Cristiano Ronaldo? Messi? Gaucho? Kaka?

Gaucho showed glimpses of being that guy but he lost the will to play way faster then Ronaldo.

the only hope is Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrisooooooooooooon... :(

Who will you obsess about once Ronaldo retires, Dagoods? That's the big question.

I'm not entirely convinced yet that Ronaldo wants to return bad enough to make the sacrifices that a true comeback would demand. Despite the vast hype that surrounds him at Corinthians, his behavior so far hasn't been very professional. Never mind returning to greatness; will Ronaldo manage to play regularly again? I have my doubts.

acutally Ronaldo could return to the pitch in today's copa Brasil game....
but as big of a fan as I am of the guy... I really dont think he'll do much. He wants to play off his talent and not hard work... that doesnt work in the modern game

#13 ·
Isn´t that the team of that new prodigy? I think it´s the perfect game for a succession moment :smileani:

(this probably will make Dagoods to cry :D)
this is TRUE! R9 should hand it off to Keirrison on Sunday!
even though Keirrison is already a couple years behind he can make it up in his 29-32 years :D

Forca O Fenomeno!!!

Ban Dagoods? :D:D:D

Been there done that, but the people won't let the LEGEND of Dagoods go away!

You're taking a battering here my son:scared: But my friend this is what happens. The masses are clueless buddy, think of Jesus my son, he came to help the people, but they crucify him.

Look at R9 my friend:happy::D:howler: He give these peons years of entertainment, did the impossible just to please the audience, sacrificed his knees for them. Do they appreciate him? No my son, he reward is trannie jibes, fat jokes etc:(

That's gratitude for you.

I think you should let this section go back to the bore it was a few months ago, only coming alive on CL nights, or when controversial decisions are made.

why, jealous? :happy::happy::happy:

Ronaldo couldve actually socred if his teamate douglas gave him a wide open pass with the gol at his mercy...but douglas thought he was offisides (so he says) ....

#36 ·
very true,

Douglas, bloody DUNCE! Everyone tried to score yesterday...even the ball boy. They all wanted some attention . R9 could have easily scored 2-3 goals bro. but he was robbed by his teammates

i hope the coach tells them the way it is: GIVE R9 the ball, it's that simple! FEED the beast!!!

#33 ·
Damn on the last play of the video the dude on the bottom of the box was open as clear day light and his team mate didn't pass him the ball. Vai ser fominha assim la no Corinthians...

#39 ·
Dagoods will keep RONALDO in his prayers :proud:…Hopefully he will not suffer another career threatening injury :(.
I swear, Jesus does the opposite of what you wish. Don't pray for him if you don't want him to blow up his Inter knee.

i beg to differ! If R9 gets injured again, so be it. What matters the most is his salvation ;)...like I said, I will keep him in my prayers!

#42 ·
R9 wants to start this Sunday against Palmeiras, wow!
Forca O Fenomeno!!!

Dagoods will translate what the commentators are saying in Portuguese...
And now here is Ronaldo, the 5th football King, the greatest striker of all-time...

Douglas, Douuuuuuglas!! SOB...SOB...SOB you should have passed the ball to Ronaldo, he was wide open...:D:D:D

well you guys the picture :D

#54 ·
he needs to stop working out, all that muscle mass can't be good for his knees :(. He's football's version of SHAQ Diesel!!!

#53 ·
It's like Ali vs Holmes again.

Ronaldo l'idole de Zidane:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y36hRVozb-A&feature=related

Great job Zizou, Dagoods will go ahead and translate what is being said in French :D.
Zidane: Ronaldo, simply the greatest player I’ve seen and played with. I didn’t deserve the awards I won in 98 and 03, he (Ronaldo) did :D. I can’t compare or relate to his greatness:D. He is definitely the 5th Foobtall King. I was never in his level pre-injuries or post-injuries for that matter. He is my idol.

Zizou the legend just won Dagoods respect. Once again great job Zizou!

zee zee on R9

zee zee on R9 said:
1- I was with him day after day in training, and I know well what I have saw: he is capable of everything; in Madrid I really had the clear notion: he is a true all time major genius; he is complete.

2- Yes, he doesn't run all the time. But he can't do that; since always people ask too much from him! He has his style of playing: he can score goals like the one against compostela, but since 2002 he must stop a little during the games!! [lol]...

...and he is very quiet and peaceful, and he is [physically] very strong, but he is not aggressive at all! [lol]

He is very calm and has a great capacity to concentrate his efforts.

3- In the locker room everyone was saying "we must run more"; and he said to me "run for what?; the thing is to score [more} goals...". [lol].

[You see] Ronaldo is intelligent [that way]; many people just don't understand [or appreciate] his intelligence on the field.

4- He was only 32 old in September!
Ronaldo's career ending like this, [you ask]? No way, I can't imagine that.

It is [for me] all about his will.

I called him after his latest injury: he was bad inside, really...

But I told him: "You can't end it like this; it all depends on your mind [and your will] power."

5- He plays without thinking twice. In training I saw him do it all...

He makes it look easy...

He has it all...

What I saw of his skills in training is... legendary. [He is simply and utterly a] ...legend!

And he has this great capacity to not get disturbed; he is loyal, humble and transparent.

( P.S.: Dugarry, at 2:05, starts to ask Zidane if Ronaldo is really a competitive person; because "we know that he likes to have fun by scoring goals, by playing top class football [which is not 'fun' to play most of the time]...but is he a competitor?"

Zee Zee says: "yes, he is [a competitor]; look at 2001, and then 2002: the World Cup... He did what we know!" )
:proud:
