Well well well...
This is the match that we have been waiting for.
With our lucky win [emoji6] against the league leader a few matches ago, we will be traveling to the Olimpico stadium where Roma will be hosting the match.
This is a match of 2nd best team in Serie A.
While Roma has been a consistent challenge to Juve for the past few seasons, Milan has a fluke season with full of youngsters sharing second spot. Surprise!
Without a doubt Roma is a clear favorite for this match while Milan is an underdog which should suit us well [emoji41]
Based on statistics for the past few matches between both team, there seems to be even out in the wins and loses so I can't use the excuse of law of average in this circumstances [emoji30]

Milan will miss Kucka in the middle of the field while Roma will not have Strootman due to suspension. Nonetheless on paper, Roma has a much better qualities in most of the position.

We might see an open match from both teams and should be pretty exciting match hopefully at least for the neutral.

Forza Milan, yet again we need 11 hungry young lions on the field and hope for miracles to leave Olimpico with all 3 points.

P/S: don't jinx my fellow milanista [emoji5]

Not only will we miss Kucka, but Bonaventura and Bacca are also doubts.

Gazzetta:

Donnarumma
Abate --- Paletta --- Romagnoli --- De Sciglio
Pasalic --- Locatelli --- Sosa
Suso --- Lapadula --- Niang

The positive is the consistently available back four that we're getting used to seeing for the vast majority of games. The negative is the midfield in front of them. Locatelli has been a revelation but he cannot do it all. Pasalic looks like he is slowly growing in form but still not enough to expect him to assume responsibility in midfield, and Sosa has been disappointing. Although Bertolacci was poor last season I cannot wait until he is 100% fit as he may be able to offer something extra in times like this. He's on the bench at least.

Hopefully Lapadula and Suso can continue their good form and Niang can bounce back from his awful performance recently.

A loss would be disappointing but this is one of the most difficult fixtures on paper. We're talking about a team that will finish ahead of us by the end of the season. We'll still be on course for Europa League qualification regardless of the result.

If Jack ain't fit for this one, I wouldn't start Sosa. I honestly don't know what else Montella could do. Poli? Maybe Gomez? But it was a very sluggish display against lowly Crotone last week from the midfield, no reason to expect any different against Roma.

Unless we play with 7-0-3, there will be no midfield to dominate.

Nor do I. It's a good decision IMO.

On balance I would prefer Niang as he's played more minutes and is more integrated into Montella's tactics.

The problem with Niang this season is not enough end product; 3 goals and 3 assists is a poor return considering the minutes he's played so far. Despite that he's still difficult for defenders to cope with due to his strength, pace and unpredictability. As long as he doesn't have an infuriating game like he did last week...

Are we a pretender or a real deal?
This is just a dream and soon we will fall with reality striking us that this team is over achiever with luck on its side.
Many of us will agree on this but let's enjoy the moment while it last.

That guy used to be some player at Villarreal.

Worse teams than us have taken points from Roma. Not at Olimpico, but there is a first time for everything. I'm hopeful.
