I want fair qualifications unlike 2010 where Useless playoffs and favored seeding were made. Remember how France and Portugal qualified, they did not deserve it. Imagine Bosnia and Ireland in their place, would have performed better than these two did. One lost all matches and one scored in only one match vs the lowest ranked team

Portugal beat Bosnia fair and square (no hands involved) and even playing some of the most chicken shit football of the last decade I am very sure that we still managed to be more entertaining than BiH would ever have been/ever will be.

Edgar posted his rankings and pots today. He said he would publish them on June 10. He usually is accurate and futbol journalists look at his site as well. The site, goal.com, had "officiallly announced" the seedings but didn't include recent results.

Pot 1: Spain, Netherlands, Germany, England, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Norway, Greece
Pot 2: France, Montenegro, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Slovenia, Turkey, Serbia, Slovakia
Pot 3: Switzerland, Israel, Republic of Ireland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belarus, Ukraine, Hungary
Pot 4: Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Georgia, Lithuania, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Austria, Poland
Pot 5: Armenia, Estonia, Finland, Cyprus, Latvia, Moldova, FYR Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands
Pot 6: Wales, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Malta, Andorra, San Marino

A few changes can still be made.

Only Romania and Estonia can move to a different pot. Albania, although scheduled to play Argentina, are already locked in pot 4 (win or lose).

Romania could still climb to pot 3 with a win against Paraguay tomorrow.

Estonia could still displace Poland in pot 4 with two wins against Chile and Uruguay.

Montenegro missed a huge opportunity. They could have been in the first pot with a win against Bulgaria, but managed only a draw.

Do the Samba! - 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualification/Final Tournament Campaign

Someone please sticky this thread because it will be discussed for a pretty long time.

So, the qualifiers started on June 15, 2011 between two small nations in the Caribbeans, Montserrat and Belize. It was played in Trinidad and Tobago due to there being no place available to play at in Montserrat, who was the home team for the first leg.

Belize won the game 5-2. Deon McCauley scored a hat-trick while Harrison Roches and Elroy Kuylen also scored. Jay Lee Hodgson got a brace for Montserrat. An eventful game between the two small nations that marks the start of the journey to Brazil 2014.

Btw, there were 150 fans in attendance.

Well, it is a three year campaign here. 831 more qualifiers and 64 final tournament matches. It should be stickied IMHO.

Also, forgot to mention that the date of the Belize-Montserrat return game is unknown due to Belize being suspended by FIFA shortly after the first leg due to FA problems. If Belize remain suspended and don't play the game by July 10, then it will be a forfeit and Montserrat will go through to the second round.

Like Homes, the apparent newbie who knows already said, it will get its own forum like the euros when people start caring, which isn't right now.

Will no doubt be after the euros/olympics.
