michi, there was an interview with him on realmadrid.com:

Rubén de la Red interview
"I have to think about Rubén before thinking about De la Red"

Realmadrid.com / Translation by Michael J. O'Donnell

Rubén de la Red is optimistic during his recovery from the fainting spell he suffered against Real Unión in the King's Cup. The midfielder thanked the fans for their support during this time.

"I know I'm in good hands. I feel in high spirits and I'm calm, but I'm also anxious to help my team-mates. I must be realistic. I acknowledge the current situation and I know the most important thing for me right now is to take things slowly. I have to think about Rubén, about the person and my health, before thinking about De la Red the football player."

"We have to run all sorts of tests and wait for the results of a genetic study. I hope to forget about all this in the near future. I'm at home with my family every day, enjoying spending time with my son. I watch a lot of football."

"The team currently sustains many injuries, but the Real Madrid squad is always proud and consists of a strong group of players. The team hasn't said it's last yet. We will face important teams like Sevilla, Barcelona and Villarreal soon and I'm sure my team-mates will live up to those challenges. Real Madrid have won two consecutive league titles and that didn't happen by chance."

"I can't possibly individually thank all the fans from all over Spain who have given me their support. It will help me get better much sooner."

I saw today that De la red will be out for the season, sad news for him but as he says in that interview he has to think about his health and hopefully he doesn't have any more problems after he has fully recovered. We have a big rivalry but a players life is a lot more important. Hopefully we now see teams giving players proper and regular checks for these type of things to prevent anything happening again.

Today was like Christmas at Valdebebas for Juande.

- Huntelaar arrived and took part in his first training session.

- Wesley Sneijder returned after that knock he got during El Clasico. Wes' injury is alot less serious and he's back with the squad already.

- Pepe, Gabriel Heinze, and Miguel Torres all trained. They are back from their injuries and took part in all the running drills.

- Fabio Cannavaro took part in training, but not at full speed. He's suffering from a niggle in El Clasico. Same thing with Salgado.

Basically... everybody except for Ruud, Diarra, and DLR are back. Pepe won't be back for Valencia, but should be back the following week.

The club have confirmed that Gonzalo Higuain is out for 7 - 10 days due to friggin' tonsillitis. No, this is not a joke.

What was it last time with him? A tooth ache, right? What exactly is he putting in his mouth? Guti... :scared:

Anyways, Higuain will likely also miss next week against Mallorca. The club have told him to rest and do nothing.

I remember that commercial. Good stuff. :D

Footballers do their best acting when they don't have to speak. Even RC's fake cry of "pain" was brutal there. :howler:
