Is his time up?

Lets see the guys performance so far:

Lets start with his style. Flore's playing style is conservative. Valencia usually take some time before they score but if they score first, usually things go well. The problem happens when opponents score first. Almost always do Valencia settle for a draw when they equalize or the Los Ches loose if they don't.

Last season Valencia conceded 33 goals in 38 matches even though Valencia played conservatively. Flores won 19, drew 12 and lost 7 in his first season. This was enough for them to qualify for Europe.

This season result's have been far worse. Valencia played 13, winning 5, drawing 3 and losing 5. Although they were missing a lot of players, Valencia had enough talent to get better results.

Qualifying for next seasons CL will be very tough since Bara, Sevilla, and Real Madrid are highly expected to book a place. Atletico, Zaragoza, Villareal, Celta and Valencia will have to fight for the 4th spot. Flores is doing very well in this year's CL.

QQ's bad points: Strange team selection, bias towards players, unable to change results with substitutions, stubborn, and has limited tactical abilities, destroyed our Intertoto hopes last year :howler:

QQ's good points:The players like him, He's young and could learn a lot, doing very well in Europe, and he's not so bad looking :D

So is his time up? If so, who should replace him? Should he be given till we get our players back? Or should we judge his results during the winter break?

hard to say.

But as i know lippi has been keen on coaching in spain, so......personally if the replacement indeed would be lippi, i would say sack Flores at the end of this year/month and get lippi. But if the replacement is someone else, then depends who it is, if not someone good or known, you should keep Flores cause you can build for future success, after all, flores is still relatively young coach and needs some expierence before the success comes.

yes, his time is up!

he is incapable of rotating players. using the same players on the weeknd in la liga, then wednesday in CL then again the same players on the coming weekend.

his substitutions during the games are stupid. like versus Real Madrid; first of he plays without a real striker for most of the game then when he finally puts one in (Tavano) he takes out the wrong player so we lose the midfield and thus can't create anything at all. I can't remember a single time when he won us a game with his subs.. I do remember several time where we've dropped points because of his subs.

The situation between him and Carboni clearly will only get worse. One of the has to go.

And finally his bizarre bias against Tavano.. Yes, OK he wanted Luis Garcia of Espanyol. But c'mon, this is getting ridiculus. We're loosing games because he won't let Tavano play! Instead opting for Angulo, who's incapable of scoring goals.

It's about time we get an attacking coach. Players who have an attacking mentality out number our defensive minded ones:

Attack minded players: Miguel, del Horno, Curro Torres, Baraja, Edu, Viana, Siva, Reguiero, Gavila, Joaquin, Moro, Villa, Tavano, Angulo and Jorge Lopez.

Defence minded players: Moretti, Ayala, Marchena, Albiol, Navarro, and Albelda.

It's about time we get some caoch who plays ball. The good thing about Lippi is that he allows a lot of freedom to his players and doesn't concentrate too much on tactics. Thats why almost all the players scored goals in the Italian team scored goals during the WC.

We also need someone who knows when to rotatate players. I'm not saying someone who does it too much like Benitez but someone who knows when it's the right time and situation for a player to get some rest. I don't think we wouldv'e gotten all these injuries if Flores rotated every once in a while.

i dont think this is a good time to fire him as there are no replacements(good),lippi would be ideal but he is not available till the season ends.
but if lippi can be hired than a HELL YEAH

I actually thought more people will defend Quique. Where's K4? :howler:
Here... I think that Quique is to blame, but you put it as if he was the only guilty of everything and it's not this way. The injuries stopped the team in La Liga and the team lacks confience now after some bad results.

I think that Quique was doing a good job there and external things destroyed the team. Even Barcelona would suffer with half of the team out.

The problem is that the team felt in the vicious circle now. Before sacking the coach, I'd give them a last ultimatum for next weekend. Sometimes it works.

And I still think that, if Quique has to go, Carboni has to go with him. Because if Valencia is in crisis nowadays, one of the main guilties of the division in the team is Amadeo Carboni, like it or not. Carboni was unprofessional and was the first to create this atmosphere.

To put ALL the blame on Quique is too harsh. Let's see what others did. Carboni signed someone who was injured, Del Horno, and made a favour to Roman "Polonio" Abrahmovic. Carboni spent an stupid amount of money on Mr. Inconsistency Joaquin. Only Morientes did well.

I think that you better analize the whole situation. Quique has his share of guilt, but if you're honest with yourselves, you can easily see that many other people are not in the required level.

And I'm 100% convinced that the root of this problem is Carboni and the injuries, not Quique. Probably, I'd fire Quique too, because he seems unable to put things in the right way again, but he's not the cause of the problem. The cause is Carboni and, of course, that useless man you have in the presidency, Juan Soler.

You don't know what players Quique wants, i can say, it's players that would be good reinforcements in Nastic...
But Carboni did some idiotic signings, yes, but he only had some months on him.
But don't forget, this Quique threw away Caneira, a good centre back, he use now the worst of them all, David Navarro...
Navarro is clumpsy, dumb, overaggressive, always late into situations and so on.

But i still give him a few more matches now when Supercapitan Albelda is on his way, if we still lose with Albelda on the pitch, then...

I think Flores was the one who asked for Joaquin after his first choice Simao didn't sign. The board primarily wanted C.Ronaldo then Quaresma or Camoranessi. So they pushed very hard for Flores' first choice Simao, and when that didn't work out, he asked for Joaquin.

Betis was willing to sell him for 19M + Reguiero. You'd think since we have three fine left wingers that Reguiero wasn't needed right? Flores thought otherwise and Valencia had to pay 25M for a very inconsistent player. Look what happened to Reguiero now. Not a single game played and he's out for the rest of the season.

Quique also asked for Morientes and his choice was granted. The only player who he didn't ask for was Tavano and now he's punishing the player, the board, the fans and the team for that decision Carboni made.

Fair point. In any case, I try to look at the big picture. I think Quique made a good season last year and, this year, the begining was quite good. IMO, the turning point was Albelda's injury and, since then, the team failed to react.

My point is that Quique can't be as bad as some of you guys say when the team was doing pretty well until several key players got injured. Some of you also say that Quique is clueless with his tactical choices, but I think it's hard to take decisions when the spine of the team is totally broken. He can only experiment with what he has.

At the same time, Quique could be criticized for being unable to keep a strong mental state in the team.

I'm not a big fan of Quique, since I don't like his football at all. But I try to see it with distance and I think it's silly to think that all the problems of Valencia disappear just firing the coach. I think that the problems are way deeper. Maybe Quique is a problem, but I'm sure that the institutional unestability, the bad form of important players and the injuries are major factors to take into consideration too.

the problem is quique and together with carboni.....not only quique because carboni sometime is a maniac and he think the team belong to him

Sevilla president: Ramos must decide if he stays
tribalfooball.com - December 10, 2006

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido admits it will ultimately be coach Juande Ramos' decision to carry on with the club.

Ramos, who masterminded last night's victory over Real Madrid, has gained a growing band of admirers across Europe and Del Nido said: "We are very happy with him, but in Seville he is the only one who can decide if he wants to continue. His success has opened doors.

"But we have put in his hands the best sports project that he has had control of in his career."

On the prospect of losing some of their star names, Del Nido added: "If we qualify for the Champions League, I can't see anyone leaving."

------------------------------------------------
I'm sure we'll be one of the teams interested. What do you guys think of him? And who else do you want to take Quique's job? I like this guy, Lippi and Vicente del Bosque.
