Also, Mourinho arrives in Madrid on July 12th and has meetings for three days before first day of training.

Mourinho only has 10 players available to him to start the pre-season. Granero, Marcelo, Benzema, Garay, L.Diarra, M.Diarra, Gago, Drenthe, Dudek, Adan. Damn.

Anyways, medicals for those ten guys are done now.

Then it was fitting time. For the first time in five years, we won't be with Hugo Boss, but instead Pedro del Hierro. Shirts/pants today, suits tomorrow.

By the way, anybody know why Sergio Canales isn't with the team yet? Not injured, didn't have World Cup or any international duty that I know of, and was at the Bernabeu earlier this week. However, he wasn't at the first day of training, medicals, or fittings for attire.

He's at the under 19 world cup.

Apparently we're still after Ozil which I don't fully understand. Our squad would look as follows:

1. Iker
2. Arbeloa
3. Pepe
4. S.Ramos
5. Gago
6. Khedira
7. C.Ronaldo
8. Kaka
9. Benzema
10. Lass
11. Ozil
12. Marcelo
13. Dudek
14. Canales
15. Khedira
16. P.Leon
17. A.Cole
18. Albiol
19. Garay
20. Higuain
21. Di Maria
22. X.Alonso
23. VDV
24. Granero
25. Adan

Casillas
S.Ramos Pepe Albiol A.Cole
Khedira X.Alonso
C.Ronaldo Kaka Di Maria
Benzema/Higuain

As for the bench, I couldn't make up one cause there are way too many quality players left and some are gonna be really unhappy this season not even being called up.

He's so good that you listed him twice ;) :D

That Arshavin is the biggest pile of crap ever, has 1 good game in 3. Where was he 3-5 seasons ago, and he ain't no spring chicken.

Ozil, not convinced yet. Diego looked very good at Werder, and look at him now. Has a big tendency to go MIA in games

Jose Mourinho had his first training session at the helm of Real Madrid this morning. First team players Dudek, Adan, Garay, Marcelo, Drenthe, Gago, Diarra, Granero, Lass and Benzema were joined by youth teamers Carvajal, Tebar, Nacho, Alex, Denis Tcherysev, Fran Rico, Joselu and Morata.

This morning's session began at 9:20. Fitness trainer Rui Faria supervised the first part of the workout, which was mainly physical. The players tackled strenghthening exercises within an obstacle course comprising poles and cones.

As Dudek and Adan joined goalkeeper coach Silvino Louro, Jose Mourinho devised ball exercises that focused on first touch precision. A few minutes later, the coach brought on three small goals and had his men practice shots on target.

The session ended with a half-pitch practice game. The squad was divided into two teams. Wearing bibs were Dudek Drenthe, Diarra, Tebar, Morata, Nacho, Denis Tcherysev, Gago and Fran Rico. The bibless side consisted on Adan, Marcelo, Granero, Garay, Alex Fernandez, Joselu, Lass, Carvajal and Benzema. The former team won 2-1.

The team will train again at 17:30 CET behind closed doors.
