Liverpool Prediction League -- Leicester City vs Liverpool

There are minor changes in the Prediction League. All changes will be marked in BOLD.

Objective: Guess the score and pick the scorers. Cumulate your points and climb up the standings.

Points:
1) Correct side to win/draw/lose: 5pts
2) Correct score: 5pts
3) Correct players to score (per goal): 5pts
4) Special Liverpool defender who score (per goal): 5pts(bonus)
(Liverpool defenders refers to these players: Carragher, Babbel, Hyypia, Henchoz, Riise, Vignal, Kippe, Wright)
5) Own goals for Liverpool (per goal): 5pts (bonus)
6) Liverpool GK who scores (per goal): 20pts (bonus)
7) Special Liverpool player who score (per goal): 5pts(bonus)

*In summary, for predicting correct players scoring against Liverpool you will only get 5 pts per goal.

Rules:
1) Submit prediction of scores and scorers for both sidesbefore match kickoff.
2) Submit names of players who you think will score. If you think a player will score twice, please write his name twice or indicate 2 or something like that. Likewise for hattricks and scoring 4 goals and above.
3) Be logical and sensible. If you predict Liverpool to win 1-0, send in simply one goalscorer. If you send in more than one goalscorer, the first name you put will be taken as your prediction.
And if you predict Liverpool to win 2-0, send in two goalscorers' name or put in one goalscorer's name and indicate 2 beside it if you think he is going to score two goals. If you just put a goalscorer name without indicating that he is going to score twice, I will assume that you predict that he will only score once.

Example:
Prediction of Leeds 1-3 Liverpool (Viduka)(og, Hyypia, Owen)
Final score: Leeds 1-2 Liverpool (Viduka)(og, Hyypia)
Pts awarded: 5pts (for W/D/L) + 15pts (correct scorers) + 10pts (bonus pts for defenders and own goal) = 30pts

Special player: Danny Murphy

Send in your predictions by 1500GMT on Saturday. Any queries, pls post or PM me.
Have fun.

First of all, a point of query: Theoretically, I could go for Liverpool to win every match 16-0 and name all the players in the squad to score. Then, if , for example, Liverpool were to win 2-0, I would get 5 points for the correct win prediction and 10 points for having named the correct scorers. Just something you might want to regulate Paw.:D
As to Saturday, with my brilliant record so far, I'm going for Leicester 1 (Savage) Liverpool 3 (Murphy 2, Gerrard).

Hmm.. very interesting, I may well try that tactic (there is a prize for the winner right, £1m should do it;))

paw, you cheating, bro? ;) :D Just kidding!
Anyway, I have another weird thought:tongue: ..........what if i predict a 10-0 score and name all the players (except Dudek, MoMo:stuckup::D) as goal scorers?........... ;) :D
Anyway,
Liverpool 2-0 Liecester (Heskey, Gerrard)

That itself is going to be problem. I did not think about that.

In theory, I can enforce that no one comes up with some ridiculous scores or another way is to increase the points for Correct side to W/D/L and for Correct score. In that case, the essence will be to go for correct score and correct side to win more than the goalscorers themselves. Moreover, if you say Liverpool wins 10-0 and name all 10 outfield players to score. And Liverpool wins 3-0 with hattrick to Fowler, you are only going to get 5 pts because you say Fowler is going to score once. And the limit for Liverpool scores will also be set at perhaps 6 or 7 goals. After all, when was the last time before our 8-0 win at Stoke that we scored so many? I will come up with something to limit this kind of ridiculous score predictions to make the game fair.

Anything I wish to highlight is to keep the League in check, players who do not take part regularly will be encouraged to take part by PM. If no response if received in return, the person will be booted out of the League. I noticed that if I encourage pple to guess prediction for other teams, supporters of other teams will come and go (or until the next game when Liverpool plays them anyway). So, I will come up with a fair system to regulate the number of pple in the League.

And Liverpool wins 3-0 with hattrick to Fowler, you are only going to get 5 pts because you say Fowler is going to score once.
You didn't get the whole idea. Thing is that I am going to score 5 pts at the least as I am predicting everyone to score.........no luck involved.........someone or the other among the 10 will score unless of course Liverpool loses or fights out a goalless draw:(
To secure my points, why not go a step further by predicting the opposition's scorer(s) too;)...........a scoreline of 10-10?:dielaugh:

Anyway, forget it. I am :drunk: today!

That is why I say we can limit the number of goals Liverpool can score to 6 or 7. If Liverpool scores more than that number, I will give everyone some bouns points or something to make up for what they lost out if they had predicted a larger score.

Better limit it to 2 or 3 Paw because thats the maximum that this side can score in a single match.Maybe even 3 is a bit too much:tongue:
