Gosh yeah what a terrible appointment... I mean why the heck would we go for a sensible, intelligent former pro with stacks of experience?

That's such a random choice but what do assistant coaches do anyway? Tell players to warm up? At least get someone who speaks the language ffs.
I'd follow Barragun aswell. He seems to enjoy life. And who wouldn't, given a highly mediocre footballing skill set and yet, starter for a top team in Spain and whilst being paid millions.
Phil Neville is fluent in Spanish and Chuckle Brother. He shouldn't have too many issues settling into your club.
