PARMA vs FIORENTINA
Ennio Tardini

Most of us are not expect nothing or not more than 1 point from this game, and there's a reason because their attack trio consist of Reginaldo - Mutu - Toni and Montolivo he's on fire atm!

It's very very difficult game for us BUT every game starts with 0-0 so let's forget about their squad!

We need at least one of Morfeo or Gasbarroni for this game or else it will be much more difficult for scoring opportunities.

Recent League form:
Parma: DDWLWD (9 pts)
Fiorentina: WDdDWW (12 pts)

Leading goalscorer:
Parma - I.Budan 10 goals
Fiorentina - L.Toni 16 goals

Game from last Season:
Parma 2 - 4 Fiorentina
Simplicio pen 3 (P), Bresciano 19 (P), Bojinov 35, 39 (F), Jorgensen 48 (F), Jimenez 68 (F)

Parma: Bucci; Bonera, Couto, Contini, Pasquale (Ferronetti 69); Marchionni, Grella, Simplicio (Ruopolo 82), Bresciano; Morfeo; Corradi

Fiorentina: Lobont; Ujfalusi, Dainelli, Kroldrup, Pasqual; Jimenez, Montolivo (Pazienza 58), Donadel, Jorgensen; Bojinov (Fiore 62), Toni (Pazzini 85)

Other than Roma, it's obvious that we've played much better against the top teams this season. The 1-0 loss in Firenze earlier in the season could have gone either way, we hit the bar twice i think? And Frey was on top form too.

I'm not so bummed out about this game... we seem to relax against tougher opposition, and subsequently play much better. I assume Dessena isn't suspended still so i'd love to see how he and Cigarini would do in the centre of the park... though i wouldn't mind a bit of a fiesty Columbian drug lord in the middle either :pp

We're missing our best two defenders Gamberini + Ujfalusi, with Potenza out of form, Dainelli continually terrible and unreliable, unpredictable Kroldrup and Pasqual playing as 4th forward, there will be a lot of space and opportunities for your attackers I fear :scared:

Also Toni may not start in this match as he isn't fully fit. Long term injuries are having Gobbi, Donadel and Santana.

It could be possible that Toni starts on the bench.

This is Prandelli words: However, Luca Toni could be rested so he avoids a potential ban against Lazio at the weekend.

“Toni used up a lot of energy on Sunday and we will see what condition he is in, but the yellow card is not an issue. We’ve had players who went on for months with a ban hanging over their heads and never let if affect them.”

It's possible I can watch this game. I don't know if I want though. Can't see us getting any points. I hope the teams around us also lose.

This is a massive night in terms of the teams around us... also playing tonight are:

Ascoli - Milan
Lazio - Chievo
Reggina - Messina

Obviously we want (and should expect) Milan and Lazio to win. But i also hope Reggina absolutely trounce Messina for two reasons. Firstly to make thier goal difference as bad as possible, and secondly, along with us, Reggina have the "easiest" run-in so Chievo are very much the team we need to overtake, and not Reggina.

With Messina's run-in, i still have my money on this finish to the league:

16 Reggina
17 Parma
--------------------
18 Chievo
19 Ascoli
20 Messina
