The draw was today. You guys got:

Arsenal
CSKA Moscow
Hamburgo

A good FC Porto can make it to the final 16, I think.

These are FC Porto's stats with the 3 teams that they will face in this seasons' group stage of the UCL:

Hamburger SV GER
4G 2W 0D 2L 4-5

75/76 - UEFA Cup - 3rd Round
HSV vs FC Porto 2-0 1-2
89/90 - UEFA Cup - 3rd Round
HSV vs FC Porto 1-0 1-2
------------------------------

Arsenal FC ENG

never played before
------------------------------

CSKA Moscow RUS
2G 1W 1D 0L 1-0

04/05 - Ch.League - Group stage
FC Porto vs CSKA Moscow 0-0 1-0

I feel FC Porto can get the 3rd spot after Arsenal and CSKA. However if SuperPorto returns they can go all the way and win the group.

Chievo to net Champions recall? Friday 1 September, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chievo could be readmitted to the 2006-07 Champions League if UEFA opt to throw Portuguese clubs out of the competition.

The Verona-based minnows failed to qualify for the group stages after a 4-2 aggregate defeat to Levski Sofia, but may now be allowed through the back door.

That after reports in Portugal suggested that Porto, Sporting Lisbon and Benfica could be omitted from the tournament if FIFA opt to suspend Portugal from international football.

The threat of expulsion comes after a relegation row revolving around minnows Gil Vicente who fielded Angolan player Mateus last season despite not being eligible to do so.

Gil Vicente then opted to take their fight to the civil courts to lodge an appeal, subsequently violating FIFA rules.

If the trio of clubs were to be stripped of their Champions League status then Chievo, Ajax and Osasuna could benefit.

However, UEFA have looked to cool the speculation.

“At this stage, UEFA are not considering the option of replacing the Portuguese sides with clubs from other countries,” said a spokesman.

Well after losing Ibson now is Raul Meireles who will not play against Cska because of a injurie.
Also Cech is doubtful for the game....

This might be the line up.

Helton
bosingwa
bruno vale
pepe
cech?
Assunçao
lucho
anderson
quaresma
lisandro
adriano

I believe this is a too offensive line up anyway.

Only minutes away from kick off...

The line-up as I'm reading is...

-----------------Helton---------------------
Bosingwa---Pepe------Bruno Alves---Ezequias
---------------Assuncao--------------------
Lucho Gonzalez---------------------Anderson
Sektioui----------------------------Quaresma
----------------Adriano---------------------

It's normal because Arsenal has, at the moment, a much better team than Porto...or you still have doubts after what happened tonight?
A 2-0 is not normal.

It's not 'normal' for an English team to have such an easy time with a Portuguese team, especially the Superliga leaders.

Sporting beating Inter 1-0 wasn't normal, but nobody said anything.

leaders after 4 rounds played is not a terrible achievement is it?

In any case, normal or not the fact is that this was the 8th time that Porto played an official game in England and you still haven't won a single time.

The whole European sports press referred to that game as being the big surprise of the first round but if you think that's nobody then I rest my case.

Exactly, they called it as a surprise, because Sporting beating Inter isn't normal.

Do you even understand what I'm typing?

And yeah, 4 rounds... what about last year? And where do you think Porto will be at the end of the season?

With all the millions that porto had in transfers in the last two years you don't have a decent striker of cl level so here you have two games,0 goals.
