I once starded this thread, because i didn't visit this forum for a long time it was closed. However, i do think a team like Borac deserves a thread. At the moment they are first in the (let's call it second leaghe) druga liga, also called prva liga RS. So next year we will be back.

A little bit of history:

BORAC BANJA LUKA

U Prvu ligu prvi put ulazi 1961. godine, a zatim u periodu 1971-1981 i 1989-1993 godine.

14 godina kasnije, 1988. godine ponovo igra u finalu Kupa Jugoslavije.
Pobijeđena je velika Crvena Zvezda u Beogradu, rezultatom 1:0, a FK Borac Banjaluka osvaja Kup Jugoslavije.
1974/1975. godine učestvuje u Kupu Pobjednika kupa Evrope i prolazi dva kola ovog takmičenja.
1988/1989. godine ponovo učestvuje u Kupu Pobjednika kupa Evrope i prolazi samo jedno kolo.
FK Borac Banjaluka 1992. godine osvaja titulu pobjednika Srednjoevropskog kupa (Mitropa kup).
Osvaja takođe i jednu titulu fudbalskog prvaka Republike Srpske (2001. god.) i dvije titule osvajača Kupa Republike Srpske (1995. i 1996. god.)

ok thank you for the info

my pinion but i hope this team gos down lol

The club has got a history of 80 years (the first 30 years with another name) so i don't think so BDS. Next year we'll go back to the Premijer Liga, even though we had some financial problems. I think Bosna will go down first than this club, however i don't want to get political and if you wish a football club goes down because the team has got only serbian players, you need a lesson in how to keep sport and your political opinion divided.

just out of curiosity, why is that funny?
Because your friend Smrti asked how many muslims where playing in the team,
Apparently it turns out that there is NO muslim on the team
It's silly, not funny because he cares more about the ethnicity of the club then the club itself, an he's basing his entire opinion on it. :lala:

That's right, anyone basing his opinion on that is silly but the fact that Borac BL has a 100% Serbian Orthodox (as you put it) roster is not funny but sad especially when you consider the club's long history. Anyway enough of that, no more political questions and comments please.

I'll probably engage in more in-depth conversations in this thread when you guys get promoted (looking very likely) next season. Till then enjoy your games around the hills and villages of BL - this is a bit of friendly banter (before people interpret it as anything else) coz you play teams from the villages around BL as opposed to the likes of mighty Orasje, Zepce and Radnik :howler:

Sad and not funny...easy to say something like that and then want to close any political discussion.

The fact we are playing teams around BL is right, however not because we played bad last year against the teams you consider mighty, it is because we had some financial problems, and players refused to play. :depress:

Premijer Liga 04-05

Borac - Žepce 07.08 1:0
Željeznicar - Borac 30.08 1:2
Borac - Orašje 03.10 1:2

after this all the problems started and we began lossing every match. :depress:

Aleks laid out his opinion about it, i posted mine (partially agreeing with him) and i thought there was no further need for political comments.. What's wrong with that? I thought you'd prefer if politics were kept out of the thread.

And surely you saw the obvious sarcasm present with me reffering to Zepce, Orasje and Radnik as mighty? :googly:

#24 ·
lol, you posted your comment and thougth there was no need for political comments, however you did have to say it is sad. :howler:

Anyway, it doens't mather (notice the way i say someting and after i said it i end the discussion) this thread is about Borac and the qualities this club has got, I agree that a real discussion is possible at the moment we enter the Premijer Liga BiH.

Of course Bosanac i did saw a bit off sarcasm, the thing i did is confirm your sarcasm with some results

you say something and you don't explain why. Why is it sad? because we have a rich history? Because you think so? Because ducks don't walk when they can swim? Because....?

And when you give a "because", you give a reason, you start a political discussion end so you start something I in the beginning asked not to start. So saying someting and not explaining why, because you don't want to start a political disussion, is like saying Bosna s*cks in football and not explaining why (note: the last comparison is not my, but AN opinion)
