Tough game before the massive UCL tie against madrid. A solid performance here would really send a strong message to city.

Interesting to see what team sir alex picks ...

IMO the teams for these 2 games should be....

Everton

--------De Gea---------
Rafael - Vidic - Evans Evra
--Anderson--Carrick--
Nani--Rooney--Welbeck
--------van Persie--------

Real

--------De Gea---------
Rafael - Vidic - Rio- Evra
-Cleverly--Jones/Giggs--Carrick--
Antonio--RVP--Rooney

Prediciton

3-1 to United.

i knew that giggs would be used for sure in either of the games.

Looks like its going to the everton game.

hopefully not homes. :scared:

I would rest van Persie and Rooney, Hernandez / Welbeck can do the job. Satish are you aware of the fact you have no Kagawa in both two line-ups?

Brilliant, especially after Mancini's comments at the start of the week about United crumbling and City taking advantage.

People slagged off Southampton for sacking their manager, albeit a crazy decision, but anyone that has seen their new manager's tactics should have known that they press like Athletic and should've won at OT.

Van Persie should've had a hattrick today, very unusual misses for him. But what a ball from Rafael for his goal, superb.

Giggsy at nearly 40 was everywhere and same for Rooney, attack or defence. Fergie's post match interview basically summed up how important this match was, when he mentioned that he was going to make so many changes to the side until he saw City lose.

For the Madrid match, yeah I do not have any hopes. Only if we somehow are within reach for the 2nd leg, will we have a chance.

If United win #20 I think SAF will go and it will be a fitting way to bow out.

What a result. The game was always going to be important but after city losing on Saturday, it became a huge opportunity to put even more distance between us and them. A lot of united fans thought it'd be 6 points a week ago, and all of a sudden it's 12.

Think this might have played a part in the eye being on this game as much as Madrid, which is fine by me. Winning the title back in my eyes is more important than the CL - Maybe I'm wrong, but being champions of England is always SAF's first priority.

Now to the game on wednesday - dont think i've been this pumped for a game since CL final vs Chelsea.
