The game that made you proud of your team. The one you remember and will never forget?

Mines Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle when Stan Collymore got the late winner. The famous 'Barnes,Rush,Barnes....Collymore!!!!'.

What a player Collymore could have been.

This is a nobrainer for me. ;)

94 CL Final : MILAN 4:0 Barca!
One of the greatest CL final in history !!!

I remember we were underdog back then. Everybody was talking about Barca would easily kill MILAN. ;) I watched the live with my friend. He became a MILAN fan after this game. This is THE game I will never forget. Now I proudly have it on DVD.

Savicevic, what a genius!   I'm never bored watching how he tricked with Barca defenders and the poor keeper.

It's a shame that Yugoslavia was banned from European Cup 92 and WC94. :frownani:

IT's UP FOR GRABS NOW.....THOMAS !!!!!!

On 26th May 1989 Arsenal went to Liverpool needing a 2-0 win to clinch the title. Because of fixture congestion and the Hillsborough disaster, the fixture had been put back to the end of the season, after Liverpool had won the FA Cup.
This created a unique situation where the 2 teams still in with a chance of the title played each other for it at the end of the season. And let's face it, the sympathy of everyone but Arsenal fans was with the double-chasing scousers.

The odds were against us. Liverpool hadn't lost by 2 goals at home in donkeys years. But master tactician George Graham went there with a plan, and it worked.

Alan Smith glanced in a header early in the second half, and with the Liverpool bench in triumphal mode as the game entered the last minute, Arsenal launched one last attack..... :D

Boca (Diego) vs River '81
Boca (Roman) vs Palmeiras, Real, Vasco, River (more than once)
Boca vs. Racing (the year Racing was the champ)

And neutral I just wish I see at club level again a match like Juve vs Argentinos Jr. in the Intercontinental of 84, just awesome....

That's when Dejo was at his best. I remember the commentators raving about Stoichkov before the game but it was the Genius who stepped up and showed the world what he could do. It is the single greatest performance I have seen in a CL final.

My proudest moment would be the 91 final where we won. The only thing that puts a negative slant on it is the defensive mentality we adopted for that game. The semi final 1st leg against Bayern when we had such much trouble against Germans in previous years and them always being our downfall, we finally beat them in their own yard. Then again that was a pretty proud and memorable year. :proud:

KC Wizards 3 - 0 San Jose Earthquakes - played yesterday! Before this, it was the 2001 MLS Cup victory. In 2004, San Jose beat us in heartbreaking circumstances in overtime to advance to the Final.

Needing to win by at least 2 goals just to stay alive following a 0-2 reverse in Cali, the boys came out and played brilliantly. First Stephenson struck in the 26th minute to give us a glimmer of hope. Then just minutes into the second half pressure led to a bizzare own goal. 2-2 on aggregate. Then, in the 92nd minute out of 4, Jack Jewsbury , a Springfield, Missouri native, (My Hometown) crashed in a wonderful strike off the far post first-time to give us the 3-0 win and send us within one game of MLS Cup 2005.

Probably when Rangers met Leeds United in a Champions League qualifier in 1992. The English media never gave us a chance (they had Cantona at the time) :finger: . We beat them home AND away to qualify for the first ever Champions League, and came within a couple of goals from getting to the final. :proud:

Milan 3-2 Ajax: The 2002/2003 UEFA Champions League Quarter Final 2nd Leg. Ajax needed a score-draw or a win to advance to the semi finals. Milan needed a win. Inzaghi got the ball rolling in the 30th minute with thanks to a cross from Shevchenko. Everything seemed in control at that stage. Then Litmanen comes on a scores an equaliser in the 62nd minute, after fine play by Van der Meyde. Ajax led by away goals and Milan was in panic mode. But, our fears were soon relieved when Shevchenko scored from an Inzaghi cross just 2 minutes later. Such relief and joy as we looked steady and on track once again. However, Ajax didn't give up and in the 77th minute Van Der Meyde again set up a goal, this time Pienaar. Ajax fans were in jubilation as they led by away goals once again, this time with only 13 minutes on the clock. Milan made a flurry of substitutions and created a perfect chance for Shevchenko in the 81st minute. Lobont was very good though and made the save. The minutes kept creeping away and Ajax maintained possession well, at one stage for at least 3 minutes in a row. Right on the stroke of the 90th minute, with 3 additional ones added to the clock, Milan won possession. Nesta to Maldini. Long ball towards the box. Ambrosini flies high and heads the ball. Chivu slips and allows his man Inzaghi to break free. Lobont runs out the save the ball but Inzaghi gets there first. He taps it over the top of the keeper. It sails over and in to the goals. Tomasson makes sure of it on the line. Milan leads 3-2 and the entire San Siro goes off. Soon after the whistle blows and the rest they say, is history!

I have a few with the mighty Gunners from the clean part of North London. One that sticks with me are winning the double in 1997/98 when we were twelve points behind with our captain in a rehab centre getting every part of his body fixed with a manager in what was his first season - winning the league, at home, 4-0 with the brilliant TONY ADAMS scoring the sealer ... magic. :proud:

Then there was doing the double again, beating Inter 5-1 like that to stay in the Champions League, coming back from 2-1 at half time to beat Liverpool, Anfield '89 like Jern said - all magical. :proud: :proud: :proud:
