Ronaldo pre-France '98. No other player has inspired me more to play football. Seeing him make those pacey dribbles, the trademark step-over and the deadly finishing... never wanted to emulate/imitate a player so much.

I think no one has probably been so explosive and inspiring on the scene like he was since Maradona. Lots of great players have played since Ronaldo but not many near as inspirational to so many people.

Thats inspiring though, as it proves anyone can become a pro footballer on a ridiculous wage. Ferreira is my fvcking hero, can't do anything right yet plays for a top club on a large wage. I'm hoping to change my name to 'Miguel Juanitos' and BS my way to Arsenal and score some lovely own goals. :) Although I'm too old I guess now.

Anyway, I can't think of anything too inspiring. I used to think Terry Butcher's bloody head was an inspiring moment, but I don't really care.

Mark Schwarzers penalty saves against Uruguay in the World Cup qualifier in Sydney to put us through to the World Cup is imo, one of the greatest moments in Australian sporting history. Aussies will agree with me.

Oleguer's achievements are an inspiration to me. If he can win the the Champions League, then surely there's a chance I can **** Scarlett Johansson.

R9 getting injured returning in 02 and winning yet another WC!!!
came to RM and la liga de las estrellas and outshone the likes of Figo, Crapul, Zidane, Crapham, [insert name here] etc.

Not bad for someone who's had 3 knee surgeries and a bunch of injuries etc.

Jermaine Jenas every time he plays inspires me to laugh my bollocks off.
Odd because he and Ashley Cole inspire me to take my phone out of my back pocket.
