Since Diavolo has not opened a match thread for the upcoming match against Sampdoria, and given that my first trip to San Siro, plus my first and only match thread opened in the Milan forum, have both resulted in wins for us  I hope I can keep up with my winning record by starting another match thread :hopefull:

Against Samp, Milan will be facing a team that has conceded 28 goals in Serie A :eekani: the worst among the teams in Serie A's top half. We still have a 100% record at home in the league :hopefull: and our defense have also shown signs of improvements with 3 straight cleansheets :star: Another 3 points will undoubtably enable us to remain in touch with the frontrunners, considering that both Inter and Juve are almost certain of picking up full points against struggling Lecce and Ascoli respectively :frownani:

However, there are reports stating that the San Siro pitch is covered in 22 centimetres of snow at the moment :eekani: although the covers have been on since after the Italian Cup tie against Palermo. Even with the painstaking efforts by the grounds staff ensuring that the pitch is covered and the undersoil heating is working, the pitch conditions are certain to hamper our passing game :scared: and it could well be a far more difficult game than expected :stress:

Nevertheless
Forza Milan

PS: It's the first day of Chinese New Year this Sunday, so I wish 象王殿下Jonathan (Elephant King), 老佛爺 (aim) and all Chinese XT Milanisti a Happy Chinese New Year

足豐盛迎新春

I thought the match was due Sunday, I was OVER EXCITED for it to be on Sunday..why? Because I would technically finish my Government Exams because all I will have left is English, which is a 99% or 100% guaranteed (according to our english teacher at school).

But now, the match is on Saturday, so I wont be able to watch the match because i'd have to study for my exam on sunday :(

Forza Milan, We want Revenge! Lets hope Dida's net wont accept goals.

Kaka will sure be on the scoreboard ;)

It's the time in the season where every game is a must win game and against a team like sampdoria it is going to be very hard. However our home form this season is amazing so I am full of confidence.
This fixture is a repeat of my first ever live milan game, which I attended last year, and so will always be a bit special for me. I plan on going down to Bar Italia in London and watching the game, and am thoroughly looking forward to it.
Anyway Forza Milan! I have a good feeling about this game.

so we know who to blame if we don't get the 3pts,and it won't be the defence or Ancelotti.

Will be a tough encounter,Samp are like a thorn at times, good team, versatile and well organised, but we need to keep the form,a clean sheet will help, sorry Walter but we have to roll you.

Happy New Year Gen and all milanisti.

In underling the fact that indeed Il Genio has indeed an immacuate average  In taking as a fact that his utmost certainty upon a win is apparently well shared among the rest of the members as the indeed limited number of posts within this thread testimony, that I have nothing to add that snow has reached 70 cm :eekani: and obviously our winning strike in San Siro, both this season as vs Samp in the last couple of seasons, could be considered something to worry about :stress:

Possible lineups:
Milan (4-4-2): 1 Dida, 2 Cafu, 13 Nesta, 4 Kaladze, 27 Serginho, 8 Gattuso, 21 Pirlo, 20 Seedorf, 22 Kaka`, 9 Inzaghi, 7 Shevchenko (16 Kalac, 31 Stam, 14 Simic, 26 Vogel, 10 Rui Costa, 11 Gilardino, 18 Jankulovsky) . All.: Ancelotti.

Sampdoria: 21 Antonioli, 77 Zenoni, 15 Sala, 14 Castellini, 26 Pisano, 34 Diana, 4 Volpi, 17 Palombo, 7 Gasbarroni, 9 Bazzani, 10 Flachi. All. Novellino (1 Castellazzi, 32 Pavan, 13 Kutuzov, 29 Mingozzi, 11 Marchesetti, 27 Colombo, 88 Foti). All: Novellino

Forza Milan

P.S. Happy New Year

AFTERNOON TRAINING

MILANELLO - The players were met with around 50cms of snow :eekani: :scared: :eekani: lying on the ground at Milanello but the squad were able to train on the central pitch which has under-soiling heating. They had a twenty-minute warm-up before playing a match. Stam and Cafu also trained with the squad.

Happy Chinese New Year, Genio, aim and all Chinese Milanista.:)
(Although it's still a day before the Lunear New Year begins)

恭喜發財!
萬事如意!
身體健康!
米蘭萬歲!

Back to the game, I hope Jankulovski could start again, but it looks like Serginho would get the nod again.

And it's definitely a good news if Cafu is back. Now I hope Paolo and Ambro get well soon too. We need Maldini and Ambrosini fit for the Bayern counters.

FORZA MILAN, tough match but we must prevail.

GALLIANI: 'Matches will go ahead'

MILAN - Despite the heavy snow in northern Italy over the past 24 hours, Adriano Galliani was confident all the matches would go ahead. Milan are kicking off against Sampdoria at the San Siro on Saturday evening at 8.30pm CET and he said: 'The main problem is in Milan but the forecasre is for it to improve on Saturday. Therefore the matches will go ahead.'

:irritate:

Let's hope water polo was part of Ancelotti's training regime the past few days :hopefull:

Wow! I haven't posted here for about 20 days and it is almost like a year! The ADSL is not working again at home, and I will not be in touch for some time. I just wish for a good game tonight.

Forza Milan! Milan Campione!
