I agree, i can't blame the players for losing this game at ht since they played well. Let's see if they show the same attitude in the second half.

Leiria are starting to dominate into the second half, I'm surprised they didn't score before. Benfica have had loads of chances, but shot for shot, Leiria's have been precise.

 

Toure has been outstanding today for Leiria. Costinha having another great game against Benfica. Last year he held them to a draw I think it was?

 

How sad that all the hard work we put into our 9 game winning streak has been undone by two absolutely DIRE performances.

 

Nelson was horrible today (doing better now on the attacking side) and Luisao has been awful.

Rocha has played well though. Koeman should think about a Anderson-Rocha line-up instead of Luisao.

 

Robert has been impressive, which is a positive from this game.

I have a hard-time not cracking up at Nelson's afro.

 

Koeman should think about being stabbed in the face.

Well, seems I got the write scoreline, just the wrong side!

I dont know what to think. We played alright, we created enough good chances to win the game yet we finished only one which came far too late to make an impact on the match. Moretto IMO, was downright poor. Beatan at his near post for the first (albeit with a well taken shot, but its still disappointing to see) and gifted Leiria their second with a soft parry. Luisao too was terrible and Nelsons early season form has dried up.

Robert played ok. Made some nice plays but also gave the ball away. Simao didnt seem to play the second half, perhaps he already joined Chelsea at half time?

Marcel is a donkey based on that performance. :s
