What ZZ did was'nt right in any way. But I am sure Materazzi abused him racially & he deserved every bit of it..

Its hard to say, but if racial abuse did occur, then its something FIFA needs to look into. Its sad enough that racial abuse occurs on the stands, no need for the players to participate in it too, and to say that "I did not mean it, only tried to psyche out the player" is a poor excuse.

Would be very interesting to know what really went down between those two. I'm sure there will be atleast 10 different versions though.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Zidane reacted in the same stupid way before (in a CL game a few years ago, I think against HSV), so it's nothing new for him. One should think he's more mature now, but...

I'm sure Zizou will be getting a nice big christmas card signed A.Shevchenko.
Hmm, why? :lala:

P.S. Dont think there's a need for a poll... Its obvious that Zizu was wrong. With all of his experience... hmm, maybe the emotions of relising that these are his last minutes in pro football... Too bad it had to end like that...

P.P.S. I would LOVEEEE to know what was it that Marco told Zidane? :scared:

Materazzi shouldn't spend his vacation in France from now...

Zidane got himself red-carded. Notice how he didn't headbutt Materazzi immedietly like an impulse seems to have made a clear decision on what he was gonna do. I think he looked at the referee when he ran and then when it looked clear turned around and then did his thing.

Looking at that video. Materazzi moves his lips and almost immediately after Zidane turns around and says something.
That's what I'm talking about. It's clear that he abused him & may be racially.

It's not too hard to understand, but for some people it is.

You don't have to be a physicist to know Materazzi provoked him, he first catches ZZ's shirt, but Zizou laughs it away. Then both exhchange words, he says something abusive (racist) & Zizou head butts.
You keep repeating the bold part as if it was the confirmed truth. Care to reveal the source of that info?

You have any evidence that it was not racist? No? Then shut up. :rollani:

On a serious note, that's what I think of it. I believe he racially abused him, if you don't think so, not my problem. The truth will come out & one of us will be proved wrong, but most probably, it would be you.:)

Materazzi may be a shit disturber but Zidane's head butt is as dirty as it comes. Even if it was racial abuse ZZ is the 34 year old captain he should have the maturity to ignore it. I've lost alot of respect for Zizou after this incident.
