Is DT the biggest fanboy since Dagoods?

Already hit on this point, it's really shocking at how bad things are off the pitch and also how incompetent their coaches really are.
The management as a whole and the coaches they have elected post-Pekerman have been absolutely horrendous. (Its pathetic that even a legend like Zanetti and one of the best center backs like Samuel have been continuously marginalized by these incompetent fools).

But the players too should share the blame. The likes of Di Maria, Lavezzi, Mascherano and Banega choke more often than they perform well. And let's not get into the likes of Tevez, Cambiasso and Milito...

The only three players that can hold their heads high are Messi, Aguero and to a certain extent Higuain.

Enough of Agueros, Messis and Higuains, Argentina needs to start producing the Ayalas, Sorins and the Zanettis.

Could be good to use this thread to actually talk about his plays, digo no se instead of constant over the top praise or over the top trolling...the header against Malaga was superb, text book one. The pass to Abidal was superb and I love his little interventions when he started to hold the ball...
...in other moments he was a bit pasota when he takes naps in matches he loose concentration, his biggest issue. I don't care him loosing the ball while dribbling or attempting a final or difficult pass, but he had a number of short simple passes lost por displicente al pedo...

Sensational four goals by Messi.
Fourth one was a genuis, he has actually lobed so many great goals this season this being one.
Even more than his individual performance, Barcelona played sick football guess what without Xavi for the most part!

14 goals away from becoming the all-time FCB top scorer. :strong:
Well, considering that he has no intention to leave anytime soon.. he will break the record by a huge margin.

I'd like to see him with an Inter jersey after few years though. :D

yeh homes, sorry for my hate on him during copa america. He is simply amazing.
If he manages to take argentina to win world cup 2014 in brazil, he would have done it all.
no need for sorry:D better late than never.
But I doubt he can carry Argentina to the WC in 2014 unless an order is there in that team.

To tell the truth, I haven't watched much of Argentina besides the world cups, so I just take people's word for it. Is the criticism based on goal scoring ratio?
There isn't much criticism against him to be honest. Media cuddle him a lot. But yes. He never steps up when it matters. He's scored 22 in 67 which is already average, but consdering how much he scores at Barca you can not consider it any other way than failure.

But the big thing is that he never steps up when it matters. 13 of his 22 goals have been in friendlies. Only 6 in qualification matches. 2 in Copa America in 2 tournaments and 1 in World cup in 2 tournaments. Shockingly poor to be honest. That's why it's logical to question how much of his greatness is down to him and how much is down to Barca.

Still, a fabulous player, even for Argentina. But only best in the World at Barca.
