As far as I am concerned we're 4 points off first place with 21 points left to play for. Prior to El Clasico we won 14 of our last 16 games, including 12 straight, so we can comfortably win our remaining 7 games. The only tough game is against Valencia but that is at the Bernabeu. Barcelona still have to go to Sevilla and have the derby against Espanyol who somehow always manage to do something against them. Villarreal at El Madrigal is another tough game for them. It's not over until it's over and for me we have made good progress this season. You only have to look at how Alonso, VdV and Albiol have become really good players for us, and we've shown in many matches that there is a genuine fluid level of football coming from our team.

Leandro-AL, would you please stop being so negative? Yes, at the moment, our squad, along with every other squad, is not on the level of Barcelona's. And winning the league may feel cheap in some way, but its a title nontheless. So who cares? Would you rather the club forfeit the remainder of the season?

Anyways, I hope for a solid win. The players need to have some confidence instilled in them.

Hala Madrid!

fvck the world then....lol...I'll enjoy the title either way. I enjoyed the Schuster one and people said Barca gave that one up too...I would have liked to beat you guys but if La Liga is all we can get that's something Barca didnt get so Im good with that.

I think you guys should and must continue the title race despite the two defeats from us. First of all, it would still be better than nothing if you win it. And the most importantly, it's personal: I want it to continue till the end to have something to watch on the weekends :) The last couple La Liga games of the last season were extremely boring

The title is for barca to loose that's for sure, though I wouldn't mind at all winning it - i don't care how, but seriously, unless the little steroid addict midget is injured/rested the chances of Barca loosing or drawing a game are 0. If they scared all the teams before el clasico, just think what will happen now, all spanish teams are going to shit in their pants once messi will be on the pitch, barca would probably won't even need to play well and they will still win.

It's unbelievable that a team can claim 98 points and still not win the league
it's not. time to realise that beside real and barca, the competition is VERY poor most teams are 100% shite and that's how real and barca can get this many points. basically that goes mostly to us cause barca would get them anyway

:howler:

OK... we just need a small miracle.

Garay is out, 5 yellow cards. So our defence is Iker; Arbeloa, Ramos, Albiol, Marcelo. In the middle we have Xabi for sure, I also think Guti should start this one. 3rd man will be Gago probably. + VdV, Cristiano and Higuain.

Maybe Granero or one Diarra in the line-up.

RealMadrid.com said:
An MRI performed today on Raul Gonzalez at Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital revealed that the player has post-traumatic inflammation of his right meniscus; an injury that is expected to keep him sidelined between two and three weeks. The player will undergo medical treatment and physiotherapy.
There is also a nice video of training and a recap of the injuries.

And I believe that our squad can overcome Almeria. Bilbao gave them a thumping last weekend, in La Catedral.

Two things, or two ways to look at.....

Some will say that instead of fading he has been played out of position and without the role that makes him evolve into the good player that he is...He is playing ahead of Xabi, which means that he is caught out of position quite often, he knows how to destroy but under Pelle he has been asked to conduct some as well and to use mobility, and that has never been his forte...

On the other hand, other will say he has been found out. As his fitness level became that of the La Liga player and he didnt have that physical advantage from coming over from the EPL, then his production has lowered thus his deficiencies are coming out...

I like Lass a lot, but either a) he's been playing out of position or b) He's not the correct player for the system Pelle is trying to play..I think that is why he has chosen to go to Gago lately, cause he feels that Gago gives him a better release of the ball....I mean theorethically, yeah he does, but in practice I dont see Gago as a huge upgrade from Lass...I think Pelle should have given big Momo a chance and see how that worked out...

I expect one of those three guys will be gone and two will stay after the summer

Metz ruled out for 3 weeks.

OMFG, who in the right mind will sign him up?

The players already knows they are heading into another "perez summer madness", so why even give a fu(k? they also know Pellegrini is a dead man walking, why should they listen to him?
I fear they will not fight until the end.
If they loose this week, Pellegrini is fired on Monday.
