REAL MADRID CF vs FC BARCELONA
Santiago Bernabéu (Madrid) | Sat, Apr 10 | 22:00 CET

Image

... and we're back in the Santiago Bernabéu (for the penultimate this year? :pp), where we solved La Liga last year with a performance that will always be remembered by the barcelonistes.

But, forget about that, it's now and the past won't make us win again. The best Barcelona in history face the best Madrid in history. A stellar game... I can't remember a game with so many stars on the pitch.

Our team will be there with Iniesta back in the team, although we still have to see if Ibra and Piqué will make it. Abidal will probably miss it, although I don't know what happens with him at this point.

Everyone knows the rival. Real Madrid, a team that don't need to play too much football to score lots of goals. A team that doesn't need much to be extremely powerful and solid at the same time. A rival to respect. But also a good rival to make our team bigger.

And this should be the approach. As Pep said, we're the best, now they have win to be eternal... and there's not a better rival than the most expensive team in the history of the game.

It's time to be eternal.

Same shit as last year. Last year you also had the wonderful pile-up aka the Grand Slam - the honor of playing Sevilla,Valencia,Real,Villarreal in successive games.

Game of the season for me. If we wanna win the league again we gotta win this Clasico no matter what. We have a harder schedule so 3pts are a must. The title is at stake in this game.

Pep will probably go with:

Valdes
Alves-Puyol-Piqué-Max
Busquets
Xavi----Keita
Pedro---Messi
Ibra

I'm sure Piqué and Ibra will make it. It's a title decider and both won't like to miss this clash of the titans.

I'm confident we can do it again in the Berbabeu despite their fantastic home record.

I dont think this is the best RM in history, maybe by points but that can be misleading. However I do think this is the best Barsa

As many expected, Kaka's injury appears to just be mind games. When the team trains, he's in the gym and doing pool work. Once the team is gone and the media leaves, he goes to a separate pitch at Real Madrid City and has an intense training session behind closed doors. Marca's cover today explains it again. I don't think we're fooling anybody here; Kaka will be ready for this weekend. Despite a poor season, he was the best Real Madrid attacking player in the first Clasico, creating several chances. Could be a boost for our chances.

Yea, I heard he had Rocky's theme music on full blast while training! That's some scary shit I gotta tell you, him training behind closed door and isolated, he must on another level right now!!!

Barcelona has really hit top gear recenlty... Other thanarsenals comeback its pretty much gone as planned ...Players coming back out of injury and team clicking.. Its really tough to call but i still fancy Barca... "Win this game win the title " is enough motivation to win the game...

AND Where the Hell is Pepe.. After that mind fu*k he hasnt played at all yea ??

if the scumbags win i think its all over , considering the easy games @ home left for the
while a win for us mean that we are ahead , but its faaar from over ,cause we play villareal and Sevilla away from home.

i dont have a good feeling about the game , especially without Abidal....:moan:........

how about this line for defense:

Alves---Pique---Milito---Puyol

i think /maxwell defensive abilities are questionable to say the least
although the Captin lungs are not as they used to be , but i still remember last yea CL final against the Royal F@G,

I'm happy you don't seem offended by my reply. Still, you are pretty unique with all negativity, but maybe I should appreciate the uniqueness instead of criticizing it.

In general though, people exaggerate when talking about crap players, who do or will cost us wins (like Rafa before Arsenal game), it's still a team sport, and all factors combined decide an outcome. And besides, it could be said that Rafa can't do anything, that Messi can't undo in the next ten minutes.

Regarding Maxwell, about whom you worried, now I even think he's better than Abidal for clasico, and Abidal's injury may be a blessing in disguise. For me Abidal wasn't convincing after this long injury, he's better than Maxwell in general, but he didn't look on top form coming back from a month long injury. Maxwell on the other hand had a poor start with us, but constantly improving after every game he played, and he played a lot of games lately due to Abidal's injury, and lately he's really improved, or should I say better adapted. Lately I'm happy with him.

Another thing making Maxwell NOT a liability, is his chicken personality. He's a very safe player, he never risks, whenever he goes ahead to help the attack, you can see him watching back with one eye to cover his side in case of some counter, he never passes a difficult pass, he always plays it safe, his motto seem to be if you are not 101% sure, pass it back to Valdes. In fact, I would rather see him taking more risks, as our other loco defenders do, than play it safe as he does. But because of this, he is very "mistake-proof", and very cautious and defense-first oriented fullback, and his presence in clasico doesn't worry me a bit.

well i am here offically withdrawing my previous claim that Puyol should be on the Lt of the back...

why?

not because of change in perception

or because of improvement in my "pessimistic condition"

or even because of the great our words of the mighty Barcoslav :pp

........

but because A$$ :ass: newspaper agreed with me , so there must be something wrong :yuck: :yuck:

I thought Abidal was pretty good. Different to Maxwell and imo better aswell. Maxwell trying to play it safe is one thing that imo slows us down when playing the ball from back. Abidal has more cojones and he gets the ball out of the back faster imo. Plus even after the injuryspell he is physically more capable then Maxwell.

So i think its definitely not a blessing in disguise when we loose a player like Abidal through injuries but im also not that worried about Maxwell as he has been showing good football.

Xabi Alonso injured in training and retired to the gym to do recovery work with Kaka. No word on how serious it is yet, hopefully the club just taking cautionary measures with him and he'll be ready.

#37 ·
I'm sure Xabi will not miss this game. Better to play, get hurt, and miss the next 3 weeks than to miss this game. I say that from the perspective that Madrid can put all of their chips into the liga "pot". If I was talking about Xavi in the same situation I would probably think differently.

Check Marca's cover for tomorrow.

Oh we're so sneaky sneaky... Kaka does his own training session behind closed doors again. He does pool/gym work when the team trains, and then afterwards on one of the separate pitches at Real Madrid City, he has his own training session away from the media.

Are we really fooling anybody here?

:rollani:

...... no !
