Sevilla FC vs FC Barcelona

Barcelona have a great chance to give a punch to the strongest rival we had during the season. A victory in Sevilla would break La Liga for the first time in the whole season, giving us an advantage of 5 points over Sevilla plus the head-to-head point in case of a final draw. Besides, it's a matter of pride after the defeat in the European Supercup.

Barça have shown an improvement in recent games, especially at home, aside the disgraceful performance against Liverpool in the CL. We needed to confirm this better form in away games and we just did it, beating a good rival like Zaragoza in the Copa del Rey, when there was no room for more mistakes.

Sevilla aren't the same team that we faced in August, but they're still powerful and they will also see this game as a final for them. A Sevilla victory would put them in the first position. The stadium will be a hell, as usual, but Barça had achieved good results there in recent seasons.

A defeat wouldn't be a terrible mistake. A victory would put us in the right way to achieve the 19th Liga title, the 3rd in a row. Let's not waste this time.

ARA MÉS QUE MAI, FORÇA BARÇA!!!

I prefer 4-3-3 with or without Eto'o, then play the 3-4-3 with Eto'o in Anfield. Don't give Benitez two tapes to study the new formation. we can really coz them troubles with the unexpected positioning. Barca played today PERFECT total football.

Sevilla, I dont know, I prefer a draw with no injuries/excessive tiredness over a win with damaged squad for Liverpool.

We can beat them, I can feel it..

Well the 3-4-3 worked perfecly in the 1rst half. They didn't expect us to be that attacking but in the 2nd half that was a completely different story and we were dominated outrageously.

I don't think it'd be a wise idea to use this formation against Pool however at least now we know Rijkaard can use an alternative formation if things don't work as planned.

Correct, Actually Rijkaard said the same if you read his post-mach reaction, we surprised them in the first..

Is Deco back for the game?
I would prefer Xavi and Iniesta starting if we go for a 4-3-3 as they are in good form.

I've have faith in this team more than ever. We'll be the first team to beat them at their home ground this season and we'll do the same against Pool.

VISCA EL BARÇA
Second :lick: . Our own Maxi scored the winner for Mallorca( 1-2).

I wont risk that tactics against Sevilla. We have a proven 4-3-3 system, I say stick to it. I will give Etoo a start, but subbed in 50' or something. Ronnie also needs some rest for Pool/Mandrill match.

We can beat them, I can feel it..
 :hopefull:

We will :proud: . Its upto our defenders to defend the goal and not concede.

Yes Deco will be back.

Also, doesnt matter who plays in the system, as long as we win :hopefull: .

Visca el Barca :proud:

The following 2 weeks are going to be decisive. Visiting Sevilla and receiving Madrid. I feel this could be a turning point and we can not fail this time. We already wasted too many chances this year.

If we lose, the situation isn't tragic, but if we win, we'd have half Liga in our pocket. It's the moment, it's now and here.

:boxing: Bring it on!

The next week and a half is probably the most important in terms of league and ECL. And I can just see us beating this average team which is having a fairy tale run:pp . Well not much of a fairy tale run now , with them dropping points now an we couldn't have picked a better time to play them in terms of their form. With the their coach injured yesterday (what a tragedy) , and not being in the best run of form. I can see them turning around and bending over. Or atleast we making it look that way.

yes it is...win against sevilla is IMp not only coz its a rival but also it will dispel the thoughts that we have not been able to beat top sides ...for soem time...in the league.

good luck barca...

Super tough game, i don't see us winning really, 1 point is good from Sevilla's stadium. I hope we snatch all 3 p's don't get me wrong but i don't think so. Sevilla on Pizjuán is a hard one but with Eto'o on the pitch alongside with Messi and Dinho anything can happen. FORZA BARCA BRING THIS ONE HOME FOR US!!!!!!!

Without wanting to cause a stir or start unnecessary arguments, I am confident Sevilla will win this game.

They haven't lost at home all season and are virtually impossible to beat there.

Congrats if you do it, but I doubt it.
