Partido; Mallorca - Real Madrid
Fecha; 11/01/2009
Hora; 17:00
Estadio; Ono Stadi
Jornada; 18

Another weekend, another chance to close the gap on the leaders. 12 points is a sizeable lead but we're just going to have to keep going from game to game and see if things change. For the moment the team has split the four matches against the direct rivals for the title - and now our schedule becomes kind again. In three of our last four matches the team has kept a clean sheet and will look to build on that here. Pipita should be back this week after a bout of tonsilitis but apart from that there are no new injuries (shock horror).

Mallorca are in dreaful form, no win in their last nine matches and are rooted in the relegation zone. Still, we know these kind of teams raise their performance against Madrid and see a good result against us as a turn-around in their fortunes. The team can not afford to get complacent on these Islands.

As long as Higuain is fit, the line-up pretty much picks itself.

I'll predict a 2-0 win. Higuain and Robben.

yeah that aduriz was the only footballer amongst the mallorca side against barca last week, so good hes suspended.

3 points and another clean sheet i reckon.

Klaas to make a nice little cameo at the end i hope.

Does nobody care about this game? :pp

We have a very, very bad record on the Island. Last year we lost both games there as well, including getting knocked out of the Copa del Rey.

Raul completes 500 league games for Real Madrid. :proud:

Marcelo not called up AGAIN. what does Juande see in Heinze at LB. hes a disaster really, he cant even run straight. we're playing Mallorca for crying out loud their goals for tally probably isnt in double figures yet. and anyway he plays sniejder on the left and he does defend so marcelo would be handy zooming down that wing.

lets hope he drops this retardedness soon as this is the first negative of his coaching tenure at the club.

I agree Marcelo should be called up. Especially if you play Sneider on the left. You'd need your fullback to provide the width, as Sneider's game is too narrow he cuts inside too much. And like you said Sneider tracks back well, so Marcelo's attacking game wouldnt be a problem.

I don't know whats wrong with Marcelo this season , he is not showing any improvement this season defensively or offensively

anyway looking forward for another 3 points , and hopefully a clean sheet ..

Juande's making Madrid performing as they should.

Very happy for your latest results, performances and spirit, hope this run continues, you'll eat Liverpool in 6 weeks time..

Robben in 442 performs much better than 433 too, he's a winger who needs to run from the back more, find more freedom.. He's finally reaching his levels..

FT : 0-3

3rd clean sheet in a row , must be important for Juande ..
