Champions League final between Spanish rivals Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid at the Estadio da Luz, Lisbon, Portugal. Real won inaugural European Cup in 1956 and are set to contest 13th final, their first since defeating Leverkusen in 2002. While resurgent Atletico are hoping for a third European trophy in four years after winning Europa League in 2010 and 2012.

So this is it Guys , Time for La Decima has arrived and we are one match away from winning the most prestigious European cup for the 10 times ...

so We are all going to participate and build up this thread in a friendly manner .

If you are a real Madrid fan then leave your rivalry and hate behind the door of this thread and keep unity and your positive vibe and let's hope to celebrate with our Boys in one week from now ...

As of Right Now :

In defense Pepe is a real doubt for the final , in the middle we will miss Xabi due to suspension and most likely as Sid Lowe also said it Illara will replace him

In attack we won't have the service of Jese and also Karim picked up a knock during the game today . Ronaldo felt a bit of pain during the warm up and sat out in the game against Espanyol earlier today ...

Luckily we have got Arbeloa back as well as Sami. Varane showed he is fully fit in the last match of the season .

Our opponent has also some concerns as both Arda and Costa came out due to injuries against Barca at the camp nou. Not sure how serious they can be but it seems Costa's injuries looks more sarious than Arda Turan .

We all know Atleti is a physical team and they fight to the end . If they can stop Barca at the Camp Nou without Costa and Arda then they will definitely make us trouble in a Netural venue ...

with Laliga title already secured Atleti will be heading to Lisbon to finish one of their most memorable season ever in the club history .

Hala Madrid

Just defend set pieces properly and you will eliminate 90% of their goal scoring threat. Do not give them stupid fouls, do not concede corners, let them keep the ball if they have to, they won't be able to do much especially with Costa out, as their plan A is to just put the ball through for Costa while all alone and that has worked all season long.

Hopefully Iker can keep his streak going, after all this is the most important derby meeting of his career, the past 15 seasons' games won't matter anymore.

You guys are nuts. :D Okay, they score a lot from set pieces but:

a) You can't just defend set pieces properly. That's like saying just play well. You don't learn it in a week.

b) Atletico Madrid has the ability to completely corner the opposing team around its own box. They did it against Barcelona when they needed the equalizer and they did it against us numerous times, especially in the last league match which they dominated for about 70 minutes.

So I really don't understand some of you guys, this is not a joke team. Real Madrid are favourites, Real Madrid can win it but this is nearly a 50/50 encounter in my opinion, especially in a final.

who said that this will be a walk in the park?apart from a few morons,i won't mention their names, who talk shit on how this is in the bag already, the vast majority of the madridistas are very wary of the opponent and none is underestimating it.

Ronaldo will play even if he has to run on his dick.
This is his biggest game of his career. The one people will remember him for a great game or forever remember him as the looser that didn't play. He'll play.
I expect any injuries to disappear by Friday, on both teams.
I don't see us with an advantage. This is 50/50.

Benzema doubts blight Ronaldo and Pepe boost

Carlo Ancelotti has been cheered by the latest update from the Real Madrid treatment room, although it isn't all rosy with six days to go before the Champions League final.
Pepe is making excellent progress and, barring any setbacks, will be fit for Lisbon. Cristiano Ronaldo is also shaping up well ahead of the clash against Atlético: his test results following the Espanyol scare didn't reveal anything major, so he will be able to lead Real's quest for 'La Décima'.
Things are more up in the air, however, where Karim Benzema is concerned. In other words, there are two more or less shoo-ins leading up to the biggest game of the season, but one player's chances are in the balance.
Though Ancelotti has claimed that all three will make it, the truth is that there are no guarantees that Benzema will be available for selection. The Frenchman has a groin strain in his left leg: though not a serious injury, it is the type of niggling problem that can be difficult to shake off fully in such a short space of time.
Cristiano and Benzema's fitness issues will prevent Carlo Ancelotti from working with his first-choice line-up throughout the week. The two forwards are going to be wrapped in cotton wool until the day of the final and even in the best-case scenario will only join up with the rest of the squad in training from Thursday. Until then, the pair will be left in the hands of the club's physios.

Real Madrid CF coach Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the assembled media at the club's open day and had his say on UEFA Champions League final opponents Club Atlético de Madrid, the fitness of Pepe and Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and the pressure of achieving 'La Décima'. A four-time European champion with AC Milan – twice as player and twice as coach – Ancelotti believes his finals experience, along with Zinédine Zidane's charisma, will help the squad.

On final opponents Atlético ...
Atlético are not a team that opens up when they attack. They are compact even when they attack. They go forward with control. We know they'll be a solid team. We've played them four times this season so we know each other well. We need to find a way to beat them. Like all finals it's going to be very even. They work well together, so to win we will need to work hard. We will need to work together and the fans will help us like they did in the quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund and the semi-final against FC Bayern München. Atlético's season shows that they have a quality team. In finals like this there is no favourite. After they won the Liga they are euphoric but we are motivated and excited because we've done well so far.

On injury doubts ...
Pepe and Karim Benzema are the only two players in doubt. Right now they can't play but we have four more days until the final and we will make a decision right at the end. [Raphaël] Varane can play in Pepe's place if needed. [Gareth] Bale didn't train today because he has a specific gym workout but I believe both he and Cristiano [Ronaldo] will be playing which is good enough for us.
