Our first game of the World Cup. We have not won in 7 matches so for me that's a good thing because of law of averages suggest.... :D

The truth is a loss would put us under pressure immediately. Prandelli needs to find the correct formula. I think he has created a problem by changing things too much. Once you go into a tournament you only need a plan A and plan B. If we start having 3 formations a game at the World Cup we will not win a game for sure.

FORZA ITALIA!

I know it's not likely but I would like to see a 4-3-1-2:

-----------------Buffon
Darmian----Barzagli----Chiellini----De Sciglio
-------De Rossi----Pirlo----Marchisio
-----------------Verratti
------------Balotelli----Cassano

I expect a 4-5-1:

----------------Buffon
Abate----Barzagli----Chiellini----De Sciglio
-----De Rossi----Pirlo----Verratti/Aquilani
------Candreva--------Marchisio
---------------Balotelli

We also had 3 formations at the Euro...well sort of 2.5 formations but still...

England only has 1 formation...it's hilarious reading English press on England tactics and stuff...there's nothing new but the new tactic always involves a new player being slotted somewhere...

I think the 4-3-1-2 will be used or perhaps even a 4-3-3 with Insigne and Candreva as the wide players. Like you I prefer 4-3-1-2 though

I knew it already but reading how we have been royally screwed by the draw and fixtures. We play in the Amazon in match 1. Less than a week later we have a 1pm kick off in the North East of Brazil. A part of Brazil where even locals stay in as it is too hot. Just 4 days later we play at 1pm again and once again in the North East of Brazil.

Looks like a rotation game if we are to survive.

Dr Turibio Leite has said "it would be better not to play at these times. In the case of some players we tested, their temperature rose above 40C, which can cause neurological problems leading to coma or even death"

Don't worry, Deano. Prandelli, Castellacci & Co have selected and now are preparing our marò (marines) so that they will survive in the Brazilian jungle. Dr Turibio Leite is just trying to threaten them so that they don't field Cassano but I'm sure the ones who suggest that Cassano might die after 5 minutes on the pitch are Brazilian spies.

'Welcome to the Jungle'

Our other 2 games aren't in the jungle but in the North still where climate is much more difficult. We are strangely based in Rio. We will click up 8,000 a Air Miles in the groups alone.

The traveling and heat are ridiculous it must be said. On a larger scale, I must also say that Sepp Blatter is an absolute embarrassment to the sport. I love World Cups more than any sporting event, more than almost anything in life. But even I have reached a boiling point watching this corrupt bozo schedule things. Don't even get me going on Qatar and the corruption in awarding the cup. Slave laborers dying, payoffs, 113 degree heat in the summer. So we can sit and cheer. It's sick.

Oh please.

Pretty much everything you own has some link to people suffering. The computer parts used in the PC and Mobile phones comes from exploited Africans and the people making the parts are Chinese workers possibly under 16 and there's are suicides and other health problems with the workers due to overworking.

In Brazil there are millions struggling and yet the state is spending billions on staging an event for entertainment.

You should be against the WC in Brazil just as much as the Qatar WC...

Brazilians with their mind games and trying to get psychological advantage for the competition as a whole. ;)

Manaus isn't a log town. It's a biggish city even if the region is sparse and in the middle of nowhere. As you said if anybody is interested in looking at it Google Maps extends to every state and city now in Brazil with their street view.

Will be very humid and hot but there is rain there at the moment, like rain every day so this weather may carry on until the date of the match who knows. Rain will make the humidity more bearable. Also rain atm in Recife and Natal but not as much as Manuas.

Conditions will be the same for both teams. Maybe even advantage for Italy. Are there any deep south Italian players? :D

The european players will end up beating themselves if they fixate too much on conditions. Of course make preparations for it and be ready for it as best you can but don't fixate on it. That's what the Brazilians want to happen.
