The problem was, I was a global moderator there, the person who constantly insulted me or tried to humiliate me for the cheap laughs of others was...another global moderator. I couldn't put him on ignore mode (technically impossible; I know you meant mental ignoring him, though). Besides, it was like I was the only one with the opposing opinion, I got flamed by one person and then all the others jumped on the bandwagon. I just simply ignored the forum altogether, without even a word of a farewell or explanation. It's just pointless. I mean, no drama involved, I just stepped away, I felt it was a sandbox not a place for a discussing anything.

 

Welcome Not to insult you or anything but the 2nd definition of Salt The Fries on Urban Dictionary is rather interesting. I'm sure that's not what you are trying to imply though

Sandbox is also the word I'd choose to describe that place, this forum can be a sandbox too but in a classy/matured/funny way.

Welcome. Glad you chose the better forum. We can be sandboxish too but we also all know each other pretty well now, we've been posting and arguing and laughing with each other for years... the atmosphere if anything is VERY Turkish here (argumental, outbursts, laughing, crude jokes etc) but with a lot more rationality.

Back when I was looking for free live links I may have signed up/visited there. Just paid a little visit and man are people aggressive as hell.

 

They made me a mod there when I had my war with Tolga . I stayed there for like 2 weeks or something, some dude was arguing Bosnia's economy was stronger than Turkey's with me and he was a mod lmfao, and then i felt like i lost about 6 years of education alone in my head... for the sake of my University career at the time i needed to leave. If i stayed there any longer I would've taken a trip back down to a time before I hit puberty. It's a collection of purebred prepubescent dumbasses over there.

 

That's exactly why I left, I felt degraded there.

 

I saw the aggressiveness of the GS fans there so I posted crap in the Fener section for a little while which is where you got your classy quote from. But yea that site is ridiculous, it's just a bash fest.

In any case, its good to see that there are a few new members here. It was dying here for a while, but now it seems to be a little bit more active.

 

I actually started out on that website before I stumbled my way upon xtratime.

In defense of the Turks there, they are a better representation of the average Turkish fans we see on T.V. before during and after televised games. Most the guys on this forum are a tad bit too civilized. Go there and bring out your inner barbarian.

I think I got as far as registering once, then saw the guy who runs GS forum copied all the threads from GS forum here, over there. I think he signed up here for a while too.

We're like an arguing Turkish family here, they seem like the kids at the wedding scrapping whilst the parents danz.

 

I think the major two difference between the forums is rather clear. Over here its mostly discussion with the occasional argument. Over there it is mostly arguments with the occasional discussion. (Atleast thats how it was when I first checked that place out years ago)

I think the Turkish community here on xtratime is great. I've learned a lot more about football just by reading this forums over the past few years, we've got some very knowledgeable people in here.

Even the fighting here is strange, the people that tend to argue and fight the most are generally the people who like each other the most.

And ofcourse we have a secret weapon few other forums have. Frenk, vay be Frenk bir Frenklesse tam Frenklessir.

 

We're got more in our artillery than Frenk warabee + Genco/Infamous can have their days.

 

Man grow a spine, "left because I felt degraded" we all had a joke with you on SFN you were one of the most popular users. Everythings all in your head, but whatever if you're coming here then have a nice time. Just don't make out like we are the bad guys, you're leaving out of your own choice not because of other users.

I also, really don't see the point in comparing both forums their both pretty much the same. Intelligent people, filled with discussion yes there are some trolls but there are a few lurking in here as well (no do not imply I am a troll)
