The Milan derby rivalry stems from geography/proximity and because how and why Inter was founded: to allow the introduction of foreigners. Inter's founders had a belief, an idea.. and the club stuck to it. Milan on the other hand changed their principles. Ultimately, those who founded Inter had a globalised outlook based on equality for all colours and races. Evolutionary.

Yeah Suso always does well in this match. No wonder we tried to sign him. Excellent player.

 

Not for me. the Juve game I just want to win, no matter how. I cant stand their whole club, while Milan I can respect and so I want to beat them playing well.

The Milan game is the one where I'm stressed out the most leading up to the game and gives most joy/sorrow once its over.

As regards to our lineup, I would have preferred Gagliardini to start with Vecino rested for Barca and Candreva to start instead of Politano. Candreva has done well in derbies.

Great defensive play by the ref there, preventing Inter from creating a good scoring opportunity.

 

We have to make this superiority count, we've been comfortably the better team but nothing to show for it.

Milan have had some half chances from wayward shots this half, while we had 3 certain chances: the Perisic header which Donnaruma saved, the chance where de vrij hit the post and the Vecino wasted sitter. Worth mentioning that Perisic created the last 2 chances.

Icardi didn't get much support though.

We started rather slowish, improved as the half wore on.

Nainggolan wasn't doing much and I don't think Valero is a downgrade on him except for shooting.

 

Valero came on looking like he's already played 80 mins. :howler:

 

Icardi's goal was legit. Vecino didn't look to have touched it at all even if he tried to.

Milan's disallowed goal was similar but it clearly came off the back of one player which made it offside.

 

There was one angle on one of the first replays where it kind of looked like Vecino had a slight touch on the ball. They didn't show that angle again though so I'm not sure.
