Hungarian international Krisztian Lisztes has made a dramatic u-turn and now stressed that he is ready to start new talks about a contract extension with Bundesliga runaway leaders Werder Bremen.
The midfielder had recently stunned the club by turning down their contract offer and looked doomed to follow goal-getter Ailton and defender Mladen Krstajic out of the Weserstadion on a Bosman free transfer this summer.

"Yes, I am ready to extend my stay and there will be talks soon. I have fired my advisor and I guess that will please [Bremen's director of sport] Klaus Allofs," Lisztes told Kicker.

Renowned for their economical use of financial resources, Werder had failed to meet Lisztes' wage demands in the first place, but it seems that the player is now aware that few clubs are able to offer him the chance to play UEFA Champions League football next season
