Time for a thread...

All looking good now and players are hitting a form, apart from Jelavic.

I expect massive banner of Ante Gotovina na sjeveru Maksimira :proud:

no teams yet , no injuries though. Jelavic and Perisic are out of form ATM.

I like Srna in defence, but Perisic being out of form, maybe this is the best option. However their is still time for Perisic to get back on form.

I would still start Perišić despite club form, club form is not always a good indicator of NT form and Perišić was always solid and dangerous for us lately, amongst our best players in the qualifiers thus far.

No tinkering. No Srna in midfield experiments.

---------Pletikosa-------

--Ćorluka----------Joe-----
Srna--------------------Strinić

Rakitić--Modrić-Vukojević-Perišić

---Mandžukić--Jelavić---

Jela can be replaced with an in-form striker or even Dudu who combines well. Badelj can possibly be slotted into that midfield but I don't think Štimac will risk him being overrun.

The Serbs really offer very little, their midfield tries to move the ball faster but they have spells of disorganised play in general, their wingbacks lack discipline and they don't have strikers to threaten too much. But they do have a few neat players that can cause you damage on a half counter and by spreading play, as they did against a depleated Belgium for the first 35 mins.

But then they fell apart.

Here's hoping they fall apart from kickoff in Maksimir!

ERO - :nono: ok playing it conservatively is one thing-but chosing VUKOJEVIC over BADELJ on current form-no way man-Milan is way ahead as far as form and performances for HSV are concerned-a much tougher league too than the Ukranian league which had a winter break as well don't forget. As far as the defene -that's fine_ I personally am not a fan of Srna on the wing-but my team selection was purely based on most current form-therefore I would'nt play Jelavic either.

Maybe we must look at how Bayern play with Mandza as lone striker but with 2 defending mid fielders (Badelj/Vukojevic) and Modric ahad of them? Maybe an experiment to far for Serbia-but worth a go in the future!

I said I think Štimac will play it conservatively lol. I'm a bit pissed we didn't see Badelj against the Koreans at least,

Ero-yeah me too- Badelj played so well against Wales-and he had that suspension at HSV-still baffled why he didn't start against Korea?

Not entirely sure if Stimac is that concervative though, considering his bold decisions with regards to Rakitic (when he had a go at him in the press and removed him from the next match) and Radosevic vs Belgium.

Yep, but this is a big game, make or break time for Štimac and his entire cast, and they know it.

This is why I'd rather not be a manager eeep!

But I have faith! :fero:

Not fr the joint league at all!

Anyway, all the tickets were sold in a matter of 2 hours, and half the people waitig in the lines didn't get them in the end.

I got mine :proud:
