Stripping them of the World Cup would be reasonable enough if there is more than hear-say to this, but don't give the WC to anyone else. Who knows how a Brazil-Holland final would have gone? Awarding titles to teams who didn't win is pointless. Do you think anybody gets satisfaction from being awarded the title 34 years later?

Still, Brazilians can't be too outraged either? Peru game would not have been an issue if you'd have done more than draw with Argentina yourselves.

I never really got why Peru sold temselves in that WC, in a general sense apart from them, the rest of the Cup had it's issues but funny enough a lot less ref issues than many others WCs later and before...but in case of the Peru side, even the game agaisnt Brazil was shambolic, so shambolic that they might even sold even worse against us..they had great players, not in the best form at that moment as a team, but great names...all in all I don't believe anyway the whole team did it, normally is just a couple of players being bought.

Harokin, even if Germany '54 were really doped they in fact broke no rules, as doping in football was oficially banned only in 60s. Unfair win yes, judging by nowadays standards, but back then ? How do we know they were the only ones who used performance enhancing drugs ?

Italy win in 1934 was actually far worse case, as they used no less than 4 players who weren't eligible acc.then valid FIFA rules.

 

Everyone is bending the rules right now in football, saldy it ends being on how "tidy" you are while doing it, some felals turn the use of sthg in abuse and tehre it becomes less tolerant for anyone. But all the ones involved in football do not open their mouths about lots of things.
