The Hajduk Split junior team recently played a tournament in France where they finished in third place. Which brings more reason to the talent of these guys and why they should be given a shot (or many why they haven't, they have been in France for a few weeks! :howler: ) Anyway, this may not be as impressive as Dinamo in the Nike Cup a few years ago but this is still a successful result not only for Hajduk, but Croatian soccer

Group A
1.Olympique du Littoral (Cameroon) 7
2. Lazio (Italy) 4
----------------------------
3. Nimes Olympique (France) 4
4. FC Copenhagen (Denmark) 1

Group B
1. Saint-Etienne (France) 7
2. Hajduk Split (Croatia) 5
-------------------------
3. Benfica (Portugal) 4
4. St. Joseph (France) 0

Hajduk Split vs. Saint-Etienne 1:1
Hajduk Split vs. Benfica 0:0
St. Joseph vs. Hajduk Split 0:2

Semi-Finals

don't know, just found about this today and it was played in late April.

Franic is a goalkeeper and could be the #1 next season! To be honest Dalmatinka, I only heard of 7 of these guys. Kristic is a defender from Imotski, Rasic brothers are talented players from Makarska, Glasovic is a defender, Ljubicic and Strinic also play for the Croatia U17's/U19's

Marin Ljubicic nije jos igrao za reprezentaciju! Taj Ljubicic koji je igrao u Italiji na U-17 EP je bio Kreso Ljubicic iz Frankfurt-a

we'll see what happens in the summer but this tournament only brings more good news about young players not only for Hajduk but Croatia. Hopefully they get the proper chance, continue to develop and hopefully we see them successful in leagues abroad and for the NT. Remember most of these guys are 17-20 years old, still young

Sasa Burdjelez, Mirko Oremus, and Mirko Ljubicic are the top prospects from that team IMO. Bacelic and Kalinic should be in our first 11 right now. Oremus is a "ginga" type player. Fast, great ball control, exciting dribbler, etc.......

Yea thats what I meant. :) Once again you save the day Tony K.

By the way those guys were missing as Hajduk's juniors once again showed their class as they beat Varteks 3-0.
